The glass bottle is a professional packaging solution suitable for precise dosing of liquid preparations in cosmetics as well as in home production. In combination with a dropper, it enables controlled and hygienic dispensing of smaller amounts of product, which is ideal for concentrated blends, serums or extracts. The dark, opaque glass helps protect sensitive components from light and supports the stability and longer shelf life of the contents, especially for products prone to degradation due to UV radiation.
Glass bottles are compatible with different types of closures and dispensing systems (for example screw caps, droppers, sprayers or practical applicators) according to the selected parameters. Combinations of packaging and closures created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we always recommend carrying out your own compatibility test (sealing, dosing and behaviour of the packaging in contact with the specific formulation).
All technical parameters of the packaging are listed in the enclosed Packaging Quality Certificate and in the product parameters.
Yes, the glass bottle with dropper is very suitable for packaging oil serums, elixirs and concentrated blends. Glass is a material with good chemical resistance, it does not react with most cosmetic oils or common active ingredients, and the dropper allows precise dosing even with highly concentrated formulations. Before filling, we always recommend testing the compatibility of the specific recipe with the packaging on a small sample.
The bottle can be reused if basic hygiene rules are observed. Before each new filling, the packaging must be thoroughly cleaned, any residues of the original product removed, and then disinfected with a suitable disinfectant, for example IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or ethanol 96 % denatured vegetable. Only after complete drying is the bottle ready to be refilled. When changing the type of product (for example from an oil-based to a water-based one), we recommend paying increased attention to cleaning.
First, rinse the bottle with warm water and a suitable cleaning agent and mechanically remove all visible product residues. Then rinse it several times with clean water and let it drain. After washing, the disinfection step is important – treat the interior and any accessories with a disinfectant, for example using the products IPA 99 or ethanol 96. Let the bottle dry completely in a clean place and only then refill it.
If you decide not to reuse the bottle, we recommend recycling it according to the type of material specified in the product parameters. After emptying and rinsing, the glass container should be placed in a container intended for sorted glass collection. A closure or dropper composed of different materials (plastic, rubber, possibly metal) must be sorted according to the manufacturer’s recommendations and local waste management rules – in the case of composite materials it may belong in mixed waste. Before disposal, always remove product residues from the packaging to facilitate recycling and reduce the impact on the environment.
To select suitable packaging, you can use the extended filter located at the top of the page after clicking on a specific packaging material category. In the filter, you can clearly narrow down the range according to parameters such as neck, size, colour and material. This allows you to quickly find bottles, medicine bottles, jars or other containers that match your formulation, preferred appearance and method of dosing.
