The glass bottle with pipette is a practical, elegant and reusable packaging for liquid cosmetic formulations, active ingredients and concentrated blends. Thanks to the precise dropper, it enables controlled dosing even for very fluid or highly concentrated products, which is ideal for serums, oils, essential blends or intensive care for skin and hair. The dark, opaque glass also helps to minimize light penetration to sensitive components, thus contributing to maintaining the stability and properties of the contents during use.
This glass bottle is supplied with a dropper, while the bottle type itself is generally compatible with various types of closures and dosing systems (for example screw caps, droppers, spray pumps or practical applicators), depending on the selected parameters. Combinations of packaging and closures created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we always recommend performing your own compatibility test – especially in terms of sealing, dosing and the behaviour of the packaging in contact with the specific formulation.
All technical parameters of the packaging are specified in the attached Packaging Quality Certificate and in the product parameters.
The packaging can be reused if basic hygiene principles are followed. Before each new filling, the bottle, dropper and all contact parts must be thoroughly mechanically cleaned and then disinfected with a suitable alcohol-based preparation, for example IPA 99% isopropyl alcohol or ethanol 96% denatured plant-based. After disinfection, allow all parts to dry completely at room temperature and only then fill them again, ideally with a product of similar composition, in order to minimize the risk of mutual interaction with residues of the previous formulation.
The glass material is generally very well tolerated by products containing essential oils and other volatile components, therefore the bottle is suitable for aromatherapeutic and concentrated oil blends. For formulations with a high proportion of essential oils, however, we recommend first preparing a smaller test batch to verify compatibility both with the dropper and with the seal used, and at the same time to monitor the stability of the fragrance and colour of the final product over time.
First remove residues of the original product by rinsing with lukewarm water and a mild cleaning agent suitable for laboratory or cosmetic tools. Then rinse the inside of the glass container several times with clean water and allow it to drain freely. After mechanical cleaning, the packaging must be disinfected – use either isopropyl alcohol or plant-based ethanol, thoroughly rinse or spray the bottle and dropper, allow the excess to evaporate, and only after complete drying is the packaging ready for reuse.
If you decide not to reuse the packaging, we recommend recycling it responsibly according to the type of material specified in the product parameters. The glass part of the bottle, after emptying and rough rinsing, is usually placed in the container designated for glass, while the plastic or rubber parts of the dropper (pipette, cap, seal) belong in the appropriate container for that type of plastic or in mixed waste, unless local recycling rules state otherwise. Before handing over for recycling, it is advisable to remove as much product residue as possible to reduce contamination of the recycling stream.
To make selection easier, you can use the advanced filter, which you will find at the top of the page after clicking on the relevant packaging category. In the filter you can clearly set the required parameters such as neck type, size, colour or packaging material. This allows you to quickly narrow down the range to packaging suitable for the specific consistency and character of your product, and more easily find a bottle, vial or jar that meets your technical and aesthetic requirements.
When filling, we recommend working in the cleanest environment possible, using disinfected tools and filling the bottle at an appropriate speed to prevent leakage into the thread. After filling, immediately close the dropper and check that the closure is evenly tightened. During storage, protect the packaging from extreme temperature fluctuations and direct sunlight in order to support the stability of the formulation. Do not overfill the bottle beyond the recommended capacity and, for more viscous products, monitor whether the dropper ensures uniform dosing – if necessary, adjust the viscosity or choose a different type of dispenser within the same packaging category.
