The glass bottle with spray pump represents a high-quality and aesthetic packaging suitable for filling various liquid formulations that require fine and even atomization. Glass is a chemically stable material, which makes the bottle suitable for cosmetic preparations, aromatherapy products and homemade blends. The glossy dark finish of the glass contributes to the protection of more sensitive substances and helps reduce undesirable degradation of the contents caused by light. The combination of the glass bottle and the practical spray pump enables convenient and hygienic dispensing without direct contact with the contents.
This packaging is supplied as a complete combination of glass bottle and spray pump, so it is ready for direct use without the need to search for separate compatible parts. Combinations of packaging and closures that are created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we always recommend carrying out your own compatibility test (sealing, dosing and behaviour of the packaging in contact with the specific formulation).
All technical parameters of the packaging are specified in the attached Packaging Quality Certificate and in the product parameters.
To make it easier to choose packaging, we recommend using the advanced filter, which you can find at the top of the page after clicking on a specific packaging category. It allows you to filter packaging by several parameters, such as neck type, size, colour and material. In this way you can quickly narrow down the selection to packaging that is most suitable for your product and its planned dosing method.
Yes, the glass packaging can be reused if proper hygiene procedures are followed. Before each new filling, the bottle and the spray pump must be thoroughly cleaned and then disinfected, for example using isopropyl alcohol or ethanol. In our range you will find suitable disinfectant raw materials such as IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96 % denatured, plant-based. Only after the alcohol has completely dried and evaporated can you refill the packaging. When changing the type of product (for example from an oil-based to a water-based formula), we recommend paying even more attention to cleaning and disinfection.
You can clean the glass part of the packaging with warm water and a suitable cleaning agent, and then rinse it thoroughly so that no detergent residues remain. After washing, we recommend spraying or rinsing the inner surface with alcohol (for example with the products IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96 % denatured, plant-based) and allowing it to dry naturally. For the spray pump, it is advisable to pump a small amount of alcohol through the mechanism so that the inner capillary is cleaned, and then let it dry. Only after the alcohol has completely evaporated is the packaging ready for refilling.
Before the final filling of the entire batch, we recommend carrying out your own compatibility test. Fill a smaller amount of product into the bottle, check the sealing of the spray pump, the smoothness of dosing and observe the behaviour of the packaging during storage (especially for formulations with a high content of alcohol, essential oils or acids). Watch for changes in fragrance, colour, consistency, and any damage to the components. In this way you will verify that the packaging is suitable and stable for your specific formulation.
Filled packaging should be stored in a dry and cooler place, away from direct sunlight and sources of heat. This helps prolong the stability and quality of the contents as well as the service life of the plastic parts of the spray pump. Always close the packaging carefully and prevent impurities from entering the neck of the bottle. For products that are sensitive to light and heat, it is advisable to avoid long-term exposure to higher temperatures, for example in a bathroom directly by the window or in a car.
If you decide not to use the packaging any further, we recommend, after emptying it and carrying out basic cleaning, to recycle it in accordance with local waste sorting rules and with the information given in the product parameter table. The glass part of the bottle usually belongs in the container designated for glass, while the plastic spray pump is usually sorted into separated plastic waste (according to local regulations). Before handing it over for recycling, remove product residues to facilitate further processing of the materials and to minimize the burden on the environment.
