The elegant dark glass bottle is intended for professional packaging of cosmetic preparations, serums, oils and other liquid or low-viscosity products. The dark, glossy glass helps limit light exposure to sensitive components of the formulation, thereby contributing to the stability and protection of the contents during storage and use. In combination with a safety cap, it is suitable for products where reliable closure and controlled dispensing are important.
The glass bottles are compatible with various types of closures and dispensing systems (for example screw caps, droppers, spray pumps or practical applicators) according to the parameters selected when ordering. The combinations of packaging and closures that are created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we always recommend performing your own compatibility test – verify sealing, dosing and the behaviour of the packaging in contact with the specific formulation over the planned period of use.

Glass packaging is generally very stable with respect to most vegetable oils, essential oils and hydroalcoholic solutions, therefore it is suitable for packaging oil serums, oil macerates or products containing alcohol. Nevertheless, we always recommend carrying out your own compatibility test – fill a smaller amount of the product and monitor the behaviour of the contents and closure over a period corresponding to real use.
The bottle can be reused provided that proper hygiene principles are followed. Before each new filling, the packaging must be thoroughly cleaned and then disinfected with a suitable alcohol, for example isopropyl alcohol or ethanol. For this purpose, you can use products available on Handymade, such as IPA 99 isopropyl alcohol or plant-based ethanol in the relevant category. Disinfection helps minimize microbiological risk and prolong the stability of the new product batch.
After emptying the packaging, first remove residues of the original product by rinsing mechanically in warm water with a suitable cleaning agent. After thorough washing, rinse the container with clean water and allow it to dry. Then disinfect it with alcohol – for example isopropyl alcohol or ethanol in the required concentration is recommended. Spread the alcohol evenly over the internal surfaces and allow it to evaporate completely. Only then is the packaging ready for refilling. With this procedure you reduce microbial load and help maintain product quality throughout the entire period of use.
If you decide not to reuse the bottle, it is recommended to recycle it according to the material type listed in the product parameter table. The glass parts of the packaging, once emptied and basically rinsed, are usually placed in the container designated for glass; plastic or combined caps must be sorted according to the material marking or placed in mixed waste if they cannot be recycled. Always follow local waste sorting rules and the information in the product parameters so that recycling is as effective as possible.
