The glass bottle with spray pump is a professional packaging material that is ideal for gentle and even dispensing of liquid formulations. The combination of high-quality glass and a precisely manufactured spray pump enables convenient application of products that require hygienic, controlled and economical spraying without unnecessary waste. The darker glass also helps to limit light penetration to the more sensitive contents, which is advantageous for formulations prone to deterioration due to external conditions.
This type of packaging is suitable for cosmetic and artisan formulations based on water, hydrolats or light oil blends, where precise application to the skin, hair or surface is important. The elegant colour design and visually attractive spray pump give the product a premium appearance, making the packaging suitable also for smaller brands, handmade creators and manufacturers of niche products who want to differentiate their portfolio.
This bottle is designed as a standalone glass packaging compatible with a spray pump. Within the Handymade range there are also other types of closures and dispensing components available, which differ in application method and design. According to the selected parameters they are compatible with different types of dosing, for example screw caps, droppers, spray pumps or practical applicators.
The packaging and closure combinations that are created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we always recommend performing your own compatibility test (sealing, dosing and behaviour of the packaging in contact with the specific formulation) so that you can be sure that the packaging works reliably with your specific product.
All technical parameters of the packaging are given in the enclosed Packaging Quality Certificate and in the product parameters.
When selecting a bottle, always take into account the raw materials used, the viscosity of the product and the desired mode of application. A correctly chosen packaging and dispensing component contribute to formulation stability, safety of use and a favourable user experience.
Glass packaging is generally a suitable choice for formulations containing essential oils, because glass is chemically stable and, with a properly chosen closure, helps maintain product quality. However, it is recommended to test the specific formula in a small trial batch, monitor any changes in fragrance, colour or consistency, and verify whether the spray pump still dispenses reliably during longer storage. At higher concentrations of essential oils it is advisable to pay increased attention to appropriate storage of the product away from direct sunlight.
The glass bottle can be reused, provided that hygiene principles are observed, possibly also for products other than those originally contained in it. Before each new filling, the packaging must be thoroughly cleaned, residues of the previous formulation removed and then disinfected with an appropriate agent, for example isopropyl alcohol or ethanol. In the Handymade range you will find for this purpose the products IPA 99% isopropyl alcohol and Ethanol 96% denatured plant-based. After disinfection, allow the bottle and spray pump to dry completely and only then refill them, in order to minimise the risk of microbial contamination.
The spray pump should be kept clean on an ongoing basis, especially for products containing plant extracts, oils or more viscous components that may gradually clog the nozzle. After emptying the container, we recommend unscrewing the spray pump, rinsing the tube and nozzle with lukewarm water and pressing the mechanism several times so that the water reaches the entire dispensing system. When switching to another type of product, it is appropriate, after washing, to carry out disinfection as well, allow all parts to dry thoroughly and only then use them again. If the product contains particles or a high proportion of undissolved substances, it is advisable to filter it before filling, so as to prevent mechanical clogging of the spray pump.
If you decide not to use the packaging further, we recommend recycling it in accordance with the material information provided in the product parameters. The glass container should, according to local rules, be placed in the appropriate glass collection container after you have removed any product residues and separated the mechanical parts of the spray pump. The spray pump itself is made of a combination of several materials, therefore it is necessary to follow local recommendations for sorting such packaging; in most cases it belongs in mixed waste or in the appropriate plastic waste according to the local sorting system. Before handing over for recycling, check that all parts are as empty as possible so as to minimise the burden on the recycling process from product residues.
To choose a suitable bottle, vial or jar you can use the advanced filter, which is located at the top of the page after clicking on the relevant packaging category. The advanced filter allows you to quickly narrow down the offer according to key parameters such as type and size of neck, overall size of the packaging, colour and material. This enables you to easily find packaging that will be compatible with the planned closures or dispensers and at the same time will match your product in terms of both design and functionality. In the details of the individual items you will also find additional information that will help you check compatibility and choose the optimal solution for your formulation.
