Gum arabic is a natural gum obtained from hardened resin. It is used both in the food industry and in the cosmetic industry.

It is a complex of polysaccharides and glycoproteins that are used as a stabilizer (improves the stability of emulsions). Gum arabic is one of the oldest natural emulsifiers. It is also used as a thickening agent (for example in the production of mascara) and as a humectant. It is soluble in water.

In cosmetic manufacturing it is used especially in the care of skin, hair (hair sprays), in the production of make-up, powders, bath products.

Recommended dosage:
As a stabilizer: 1 - 25 %
As an active ingredient: 1 - 3 %
