The HDPE plastic bottle is a durable, lightweight and practical container suitable for professional as well as home packaging of liquid formulations. Thanks to the properties of the material, the bottle is stable, withstands normal handling well and is suitable for a wide range of cosmetic and hygiene products, as well as technical preparations depending on the nature of the fill.
In practice, HDPE is a well-established packaging material with excellent chemical resistance to many surfactants, emulsions and solutions. The bottle is suitable for packaging products where practical dosing, easy handling and reliable protection of the contents during storage and transport are important.
HDPE bottles are compatible with various types of closures and dosing systems (for example screw caps, droppers, sprayers or practical applicators) according to the selected parameters for the specific product. Combinations of containers and closures created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we recommend always performing your own compatibility test (sealing, dosing and behaviour of the packaging in contact with the specific formulation) to ensure the optimal performance of the packaging in the specific conditions of use.

Detailed information on the material, type of plastic and recommendations for use can be found directly in the product parameters tab and in the related documents. We recommend taking this data into account when selecting the packaging for a specific formula, especially for formulations with a higher content of active ingredients or solvents.
The container can, with a suitable type of fill and in the absence of visible mechanical damage, be reused provided that basic hygiene principles are observed. Before each new filling, the bottle must be thoroughly cleaned and then disinfected with a suitable alcohol solution (for example IPA 99% isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96% denatured plant-based). Only after the inner surface has completely dried is the container ready for refilling, and with each use the condition of the closure and seal should also be checked.
Before refilling, we recommend removing residues of the original product by rinsing with warm water and a suitable mild detergent, then rinsing thoroughly with clean water and allowing it to drain. After mechanical cleaning, it is advisable to disinfect the inner surface and the closure with an alcohol solution, for example with the products IPA 99% isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96% denatured plant-based. After disinfection, allow the container to dry completely at room temperature so that no moisture remains inside that could affect the stability of the new fill.
If you decide not to use the container any further, we recommend recycling it in accordance with local waste sorting regulations. HDPE containers are normally placed in the bin intended for plastic waste. Before handing over for recycling, empty the bottle, remove any remaining contents, optionally rinse it quickly and allow it to drain. If a specific recycling symbol or recommendation is given for the packaging in the product parameters, follow this information. By sorting correctly, you enable the material to be reused in the recycling process.
The HDPE bottle is designed so that it can be combined with several types of closures and dosing systems available on Handymade.sk, such as screw caps, flip-top caps, pumps, sprayers or special applicators. When selecting the closure, we recommend using the filter by neck type in the packaging category and choosing components that are listed as compatible for the product. All combinations of containers and closures created directly on Handymade are tested and functional; nevertheless, it is advisable to carry out your own sealing and dosing test with your specific formulation.
