Yes, the packaging can be used repeatedly if handled correctly and if hygiene rules are followed. Before each new filling, we recommend thoroughly washing and drying the bottle and, above all, disinfecting the surface and the interior with a suitable alcohol-based preparation, for example IPA 99% isopropyl alcohol or 96% denatured plant-based ethanol. This reduces the risk of microbial contamination and helps to maintain the stability of your formulation.
The aluminium bottle is particularly suitable for liquid or lightly viscous formulations where protection against light and external influences is important. It is often used for facial and hair toners, serums, treatment solutions, aromatic blends, oil concentrates and test or travel sizes. We always recommend testing the compatibility of the specific formulation with the packaging, especially in cases of high content of alcohol, essential oils or other active substances.
After the contents have been used up, first rinse the bottle with a suitable cleaning agent that does not leave residues and is compatible with both the previous and the next filling. Then rinse it thoroughly with clean water and allow it to dry completely. Before refilling, it is necessary to disinfect the interior and the closure with alcohol, for example using IPA 99% isopropyl alcohol or 96% plant-based ethanol. Allow the disinfectant solution to act for a short time, then empty the bottle and let it dry in a clean place.
If you decide not to reuse the packaging, we recommend placing it in sorted waste collection according to the material type specified in the product parameters. Empty the bottle before disposal, minimise any product residues and, according to local sorting rules, place it in the appropriate container for metal packaging. In some systems, metal parts must be separated from other materials (for example plastic inserts in the closure); therefore follow the recommendations of your local waste policy so that recycling is as effective as possible.
