Glass bottle – blue dropper bottle with ribbed safety cap is a practical container for stable and long-term storage of various liquid and drop-dispensed preparations. The dark blue glass helps protect the sensitive contents from light, thereby reducing the risk of deterioration of active substances and extending the usability of the prepared formulations. In combination with a black ribbed cap with safety lock, it is a reliable dropper bottle suitable for home cosmetic formulations as well as professional laboratory or artisan use.
The glass dropper bottle itself is compatible with several types of caps and dosing systems according to the selected product parameters – for example screw caps, droppers, spray pumps or practical applicators for targeted dosing. The packaging and cap combinations created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we always recommend performing your own compatibility test (sealing, dosing and behaviour of the container in contact with the specific formulation).

Glass dropper bottles are among the most commonly used containers for formulations containing alcohol and essential oils, because glass is a stable and resistant material under normal use. We always recommend testing the specific formulation in a smaller trial batch, monitoring any changes in scent, colour or viscosity, and also verifying compatibility with the type of cap or dropper used.
The container can be reused repeatedly if hygienic principles are followed. Before refilling, we recommend thoroughly rinsing the bottle, washing it with a suitable cleaning agent, rinsing with clean water and then disinfecting it. For disinfection you can use, for example, isopropyl alcohol IPA 99 % or plant-based ethanol Ethanol 96 % denatured. After disinfection, allow all parts of the container to dry thoroughly in a clean place and only then refill them.
The ribbed cap with safety lock increases safety by requiring a controlled first opening and a firmer tightening when closing. It is a practical feature for packaging that may be present in households with children. Nevertheless, it is always necessary to keep all preparations out of the reach of children and to follow the recommendations for safe storage given for the specific product.
If you decide not to use the container further, we recommend recycling it in accordance with the material designation given in the product parameters. The glass bottle should first be emptied and rinsed free of any product residue and then sorted into the appropriate glass recycling container. A cap made of a different material must be separated from the bottle and sorted according to the instructions of the local waste collection system. Always check the recycling symbols and material composition in the parameter table for the given product on the Handymade.sk website.
