Before the first filling, we recommend mechanically cleaning the packaging (rinsing with a suitable cleaning agent or warm water, depending on the type of intended contents) and then disinfecting it. Products suitable for disinfection are IPA 99% isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96% denatured vegetable. After disinfection, allow the bottle and dropper to dry thoroughly at room temperature in a clean environment, so that no residual moisture or smell of alcohol remains in the packaging.

The bottle and the dropper can be reused if basic hygiene principles are observed. Before each new filling, it is necessary to clean the packaging thoroughly, check for mechanical wear (especially rubber or plastic parts of the dropper) and then disinfect it with a suitable alcohol-based product – for example using IPA 99% isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96% denatured vegetable. Packaging prepared in this way minimises the risk of microbial contamination and is suitable for repeated use in your own projects.

If you decide not to reuse the packaging, we recommend recycling it according to the material composition given in the product parameters. The glass part of the bottle, once emptied and rinsed, usually belongs in the glass container, while plastic or rubber components of the dropper generally need to be separated and placed in the appropriate sorted waste according to local rules. Always follow the material information in the parameter table on the product page and the recommendations of your local waste sorting system.

The dropper is ideal for dosing low- to medium-viscosity liquids such as oil serums, aqueous and hydroalcoholic solutions, light oil blends or liquid extracts. With very thick formulations, the flow may be slower and the drop size may differ slightly. Therefore, we recommend always testing in advance how the specific recipe behaves in the packaging, checking the dosing speed and, if necessary, adjusting the viscosity or choosing another type of closure.

Filled bottles should be stored well closed, in a dry place and at a stable room temperature, away from direct sunlight and sources of heat. Dark glass already itself helps limit light penetration, but to preserve the quality of sensitive actives (for example certain vegetable oils, vitamins or aromatic extracts) it is important to minimise temperature fluctuations and avoid long-term exposure to light. For home formulations we recommend smaller batches, so that the time between production and use is reasonably short.
