Yes, the packaging can be reused if handled correctly and hygiene rules are observed. Before each new filling, the bottle and the dispensing part must be thoroughly cleaned and then disinfected with a suitable product, for example isopropyl alcohol or ethanol. For this purpose, you can use the products IPA 99 % isopropyl alkohol or etanol 96 % denaturovaný rastlinný. This minimises the risk of microbial contamination and preserves the quality of the new contents.

First, we recommend mechanically removing residues of the original product by rinsing with warm (not boiling) water and a mild cleaning agent suitable for hand washing. Then it is advisable to rinse the packaging with clean water and let it dry thoroughly. After drying, an important step is the disinfection of the inner walls of the bottle and the parts of the dispenser using an alcohol solution – ideally the products IPA 99 % isopropyl alkohol or etanol 96 % denaturovaný rastlinný. PET and other common plastic materials used for packaging are not suitable for boiling or for washing in a dishwasher, because there is a risk of deformation, loss of dimensional stability or damage to the surface.

This type of plastic packaging is not intended to be exposed to high temperatures, for example during boiling or in a dishwasher. With prolonged exposure to heat, deformation of the packaging, a reduction in its mechanical stability and deterioration of the functionality of the dispensing pump may occur. It is recommended to use only warm, not boiling water and gentle cleaning procedures. For disinfection of the inner surface, alcohol‑based disinfectant solutions are more suitable than heat sterilisation.

If you decide not to use the packaging any longer, we recommend that after emptying and basic cleaning you place it in sorted waste according to the material specified in the product parameters. The bottle body and the dispensing part may be made from different plastics, so it is advisable to separate them before recycling (unscrew the pump from the neck and, if possible, disassemble it into separate parts). According to the material marking on the packaging or in the parameter table on the product page, place the individual parts in the appropriate container for sorted waste. In this way, you support efficient recycling and reduce the amount of municipal waste.

For formulations with a high alcohol content, strong solvents or very aggressive substances, it is always necessary to carry out your own compatibility test to verify that the packaging material will remain stable with the product in the long term and that no damage will occur, nor any impact on the fragrance and consistency.
