The packaging can be reused if correct hygiene principles are followed. Before each new filling, the bottle and the dropper must be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected in order to minimise the risk of microbial contamination and any impact on the stability of the new product batch. For disinfection, we recommend using isopropyl alcohol or ethanol, available for example as the products IPA 99 % isopropyl alkohol and Etanol 96 % denaturovaný rastlinný. After treatment, allow all parts to dry thoroughly and fill the packaging only after the alcohol has completely evaporated.

First mechanically remove any residues of the original product, then rinse the bottle and dropper with a suitable cleaning solution according to the type of residues (for example, warm water with a mild detergent, if compatible with the material of the original contents). After thoroughly rinsing with clean water, disinfect the packaging with an alcohol-based solution (e.g. IPA or ethanol) and allow all components to dry separately at room temperature. Before refilling, make sure that no residues of the original product, water or alcohol remain in the bottle or in the dropper.

The bottle with dropper is ideal for liquid and low-viscosity preparations where you need dosing in individual drops or in small amounts. Most commonly, these are facial and hair serums, oils, concentrated active ingredients, perfumed oils and aromatic blends. For thicker formulations, we recommend testing before market launch to ensure that the dropper provides smooth and reliable dosing without clogging or unwanted product leakage.

If you decide not to reuse the packaging, we recommend recycling it in accordance with local waste sorting rules and the information given in the parameters of the specific product on Handymade. The glass part of the bottle can usually be placed in the container designated for glass. For the dropper, you need to follow the material composition (given in the product parameters) – based on this, you will sort it into plastics or into mixed waste if required by local rules. Before handing it over for separate collection, it is advisable to rinse the packaging to remove any product residues.

For storage, we recommend protecting the filled bottle from direct sunlight, extreme temperatures and high humidity in order to maintain the stability of the product and the service life of the packaging. Always store the bottle well closed, in an upright position and do not expose it to long-term mechanical stress. For oil-based and aromatic formulations, it is advisable to continuously monitor whether any changes in colour, scent or viscosity of the product occur and, if necessary, adjust the storage conditions according to the recommendations for the specific formulation.
