For thicker oils or more viscous serums we recommend conducting a trial filling and testing the flow through the dropper. Before filling, it is advisable to clean the bottle mechanically, rinse it and then disinfect it according to the nature of the intended product. For disinfection of the inner surface and the dropper we recommend using a suitable alcohol-based preparation, for example isopropyl alcohol or ethanol. After disinfection, leave the packaging to dry thoroughly and only then fill it with the final product.

The bottle is also suitable for repeated use, provided that basic hygiene rules are followed. Before each new filling it is necessary to clean the packaging thoroughly, remove residues of the previous product and then disinfect it, for example using isopropyl alcohol IPA 99 (/ipa-99-isopropyl-alkohol-1-l/){:target="_blank"} or etanol 96 % denaturovaný rastlinný (/etanol-96-denaturovany-rastlinny-1-l/){:target="_blank"}. Only after complete drying and checking of cleanliness is it appropriate to refill the bottle, in order to minimise the risk of microbial contamination and to ensure the stability of the new product batch.

If you decide not to use the bottle further, we recommend prioritising recycling according to local waste sorting rules. The glass part of the packaging can, after removing product residues and separating the individual components (for example the dropper, any plastic or rubber parts), be placed in the appropriate glass container. The specific method of sorting and the recommended recycling procedure is based on the material designation given in the product parameter table on Handymade.sk and on the local waste collection rules in your municipality or city.
