The packaging can be used repeatedly if basic hygiene principles are observed. Before each new filling, the bottle and the spray pump must be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected in order to minimize the risk of microbial contamination and product deterioration. For disinfection, we recommend using a suitable alcohol-based preparation, for example isopropyl alcohol or ethanol intended for cosmetic use, available in our range as IPA 99% isopropyl alcohol and Ethanol 96% denatured plant-based. After treatment, allow the packaging to dry completely and only then refill it.

The plastic bottle is designed for normal use at room temperatures and for the storage of standard liquid formulations. We recommend avoiding exposure to extreme conditions such as strong impacts, prolonged contact with very aggressive solvents or prolonged direct sunlight, which can accelerate the ageing of the material. Handle the packaging in such a way that the spray pump is not subjected to repeated strong mechanical stress (forceful pressing off-axis), thereby maintaining smooth and even dosing throughout the entire period of use.

First completely empty the packaging and disassemble it – separate the bottle from the spray pump. Rinse the bottle with a suitable soapy solution or a mild detergent and rinse thoroughly with potable water. Then disinfect it with an alcohol-based preparation (e.g. IPA 99% isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96% denatured plant-based) and allow it to dry completely. It is advisable to rinse the spray pump first with water, then with a small amount of disinfecting alcohol and press it several times so that the inner capillary is cleaned. Do not soak the packaging in boiling water and do not boil it.

If you decide not to use the packaging any further, we recommend as a first step to empty it completely and, where possible, remove any residual contents. The subsequent recycling method should then be adapted to the type of plastic material specified in the product parameter table on the Handymade.sk page. In most cases, plastic bottles are sorted into containers intended for plastic waste, and it is advisable to separate the container itself from the spray pump if they are made from different materials. By following local waste sorting rules, you help to ensure more efficient processing of the material in the recycling process.
