The plastic bottle with trigger sprayer is a practical packaging intended for convenient dosing of various liquid formulations in the form of a fine mist. Thanks to the combination of a transparent plastic body and a functional sprayer, it is suitable for filling cosmetic, cleaning and technical preparations where uniform application to a surface or skin is required. The trigger mechanism enables comfortable, repeatable dosing with good control over the amount of product used.
The packaging is designed to be lightweight, resistant to normal handling and suitable for everyday use in the home as well as in a professional environment. The transparent design allows visual control of the remaining volume and easily distinguishable colouring of the contents, which is practical when using several types of refills.
This type of bottle with trigger sprayer represents a ready-made combination of packaging and application system. Combinations of packaging and closures that are created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we recommend always carrying out your own compatibility test – checking sealing, dosing method, behaviour of the packaging during transport and the reaction of the solution used with the material of the bottle as well as the sprayer.
Within your own trials it is recommended to monitor in particular any possible changes in colour, viscosity, odour or spraying functionality over time so that you can be sure that the chosen packaging is suitable in the long term for the specific formulation.
All technical parameters of the packaging are given in the attached Packaging Quality Certificate and in the product parameters. There you will find information on the exact dimensions, type of plastic used, recommended recycling method and other data needed for a professional assessment of the suitability of the packaging for your products.
If the parameters state that the packaging is made from PET material, it is necessary to take into account that PET is not suitable for exposure to high temperatures. Under the influence of heat there is a risk of deformation of the bottle and deterioration of the sprayer functionality, therefore such packaging is not suitable for boiling or for washing in a dishwasher. Always follow the manufacturer’s recommendation and the parameter table for the specific product.
Yes, the packaging can be reused in normal household as well as professional use, as long as it is mechanically intact and the trigger sprayer works flawlessly. However, before each new filling it is necessary to clean and disinfect both the bottle and the sprayer thoroughly. For disinfection of the internal surfaces it is recommended to use a suitable alcohol-based preparation, for example isopropyl alcohol or ethanol. On the website you will find, for example, the products IPA 99% isopropyl alcohol and ethanol 96% denatured plant-based. After disinfection, allow the packaging and the sprayer to dry thoroughly to ensure the highest possible level of hygiene for the next use.
For PET packaging it is important to avoid high temperatures. Do not boil the bottle or the sprayer, do not expose them to hot water or prolonged direct sunlight so that the plastic is not deformed and the spraying functionality is not affected. The packaging is not suitable for a dishwasher. For normal cleaning use lukewarm water with a mild detergent, possibly followed by disinfection with alcohol, and before re-use allow all parts to dry thoroughly.
The trigger sprayer is ideal for low-viscosity to slightly viscous liquids that need to be applied in the form of a uniform spray. In practice this concerns mainly face and body waters, hydrolats, hair sprays, air fresheners and cleaning solutions for surfaces. For thicker emulsions or gel textures, spraying may be limited or non-functional, therefore it is always recommended to make a trial filling and test the behaviour of the packaging in real use.
If you decide not to reuse the packaging any longer, it is recommended to recycle it according to the type of material stated in the product parameters and on the packaging (for example the designation of the type of plastic). Before discarding, empty the bottle and the sprayer, rinse them as well as possible and remove product residues. Then place them in the appropriate collection container for separated waste according to local rules – for plastic packaging this is most often the container for plastics. In the case of combined materials or specific markings, follow the recommendations given in the parameter table for the product and the guidelines of the local waste collection system.
To find your way around the packaging range you can use the advanced filter, which is located at the top of the page after clicking on a specific category, for example bottles, jars or sprayers. In the advanced filter you can select the parameters that are key for your product – in particular the neck type, packaging size, colour and material. In this way you will quickly filter only those packaging items that are compatible with your planned closures and dispensers and at the same time meet the visual and functional requirements of your project.
If you notice after a certain time a change in colour, odour, viscosity or behaviour of the product in the packaging, it is appropriate to stop using the given batch and carry out a compatibility check. First compare the composition of the product with the data on the packaging material in the product parameters and in the Packaging Quality Certificate. Some components, for example high concentrations of alcohols, essential oils or organic solvents, can affect the stability of the plastic or the seals of the sprayer. In such a case we recommend consulting a more suitable type of packaging, or adjusting the formulation and then carrying out a repeated longer-term storage test in the chosen bottle.
