Salicylic acid (also known as 2‑hydroxybenzoic acid) in the form of a white powder is a very important active ingredient in the care of skin prone to acne and inflammation, psoriasis and corns, or calluses.

It has antifungal, exfoliating, anti‑inflammatory and analgesic effects. It also helps to alleviate skin itching. Its name comes from the Latin name for willow – Salix, from the bark of which the acid can be prepared.

It is slightly soluble in water, soluble in alcohol.

Dosage: 2 %

All supplied raw materials are of cosmetic grade, unsuitable for internal use. Use suitable protective equipment when handling.

Safety level of the raw material according to EWG: 2 - 4 (depending on the degree of use)
