The glass bottle with dropper represents a professional packaging solution suitable for precise dosing of liquid preparations in cosmetics as well as in artisan production. This packaging is popular for filling liquid serums, oils, tinctures, essential and aromatic blends, where gentle and even drop-by-drop dosing is important. The glass material is stable, inert to common cosmetic raw materials and, when used correctly, helps to preserve the quality and freshness of the filled product throughout the entire period of use.
Yes, the glass bottle with dropper is suitable for most oil-based and water-based cosmetic preparations, such as serums, oils or light solutions. For very viscous products and specific active ingredients, we recommend first testing dosing and the behaviour of the formulation in a smaller trial batch so that you can be sure the dropper will provide comfortable and precise application.
The packaging can be reused if strict hygiene rules are followed. Before each new filling, the bottle and the dropper must be thoroughly cleaned and then disinfected with a suitable alcohol-based preparation, for example using the products IPA 99% isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96% denatured vegetable. This minimises the risk of microbial contamination, residues of the previous product and undesirable changes in the fragrance or consistency of the new preparation.
Before refilling, we recommend rinsing the bottle with a suitable cleaning agent, rinsing it thoroughly with water and allowing it to dry completely. The packaging then needs to be disinfected with alcohol, for example using the preparations IPA 99% isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96% denatured vegetable, and the alcohol must be allowed to evaporate. For the dropper, it is important to check the condition of the rubber part and plastic components – in case of damage or wear, it is advisable to replace them in order to maintain reliable sealing and hygienic use.
If you decide not to reuse the packaging, we recommend recycling it in accordance with local waste sorting rules and with the information given in the “Material” parameter for the product. The glass body of the bottle is usually placed in the container intended for glass once it has been freed of product residues. The dropper, which is a combination of several materials (e.g. plastic, rubber, metal), needs to be sorted according to local recycling options or handed over as fractionated waste, if the collection system in your area allows this. Always follow the current instructions of your local collection system.
