The glass bottle with dropper represents a professional type of packaging suitable for precise dosing of liquid blends, active substances and concentrated preparations. Thanks to the reliable dropper, it allows controlled dripping, which is ideal when formulating cosmetic products, serums, oil blends or concentrated solutions. The bottle is designed for small batches as well as for artisanal and semi-professional production, where dosing accuracy and maintenance of content stability are important.
Before the first filling, it is advisable to visually check the bottle and the dropper, remove any dust and, according to the nature of your production, clean and disinfect them. For artisanal and home production, we recommend rinsing the packaging and then disinfecting it with a suitable alcohol (for example isopropyl alcohol or ethanol) and allowing it to dry thoroughly in a clean environment. For professional production, follow your internal hygiene and GMP procedures.
The bottle can be used repeatedly under certain conditions, provided it is not mechanically damaged and the functionality of the dropper and the sealing is preserved. With each repeated use, it is essential to follow hygienic principles: after emptying, thoroughly clean the bottle and the dropper, rinse them and, before refilling, disinfect them with a suitable alcohol. For disinfection you can use for example IPA 99% isopropyl alcohol or ethanol 96% denatured plant-based. After applying the alcohol, allow all parts to dry completely so that no unwanted dilution reaction occurs with the new product.
Always store filled bottles well closed, in a dry and clean environment, away from direct sunlight and sources of heat. Optimal storage conditions depend on the specific formulation – for oil and aromatic blends it is usually recommended to protect them from excessive heat and humidity. If you are working with sensitive active substances, follow the recommendation of the raw material supplier and adjust the storage temperature and duration accordingly. Do not overfill the bottles so that the dropper and sealing function reliably.
If you decide not to reuse the packaging, we recommend recycling it in accordance with local waste-sorting rules and with the information given in the product parameters. The glass body of the bottle is usually placed in a container intended for glass after it has been freed from any remaining contents. The dropper and the cap, which are a combination of plastic and possibly rubber parts, should be separated from the glass and sorted according to local recommendations for plastic waste, or placed in mixed municipal waste if no other option is available. Before recycling, we recommend emptying the packaging as much as possible to minimise the amount of residual formulation.
