Plastic jar with black lid represents a practical and visually clean container for packaging various cosmetic and body care products, ointments, creams or thicker blends. Closing with a screw-on lid helps protect the contents from impurities and limits contact with air, which is suitable for the product’s stability and hygiene. Thanks to its solid construction, this packaging is suitable for liquid and semi-solid formulations that require reliable sealing and easy handling during use and storage.
The plastic jar with black lid is supplied as a ready-made combination of container and closure, and therefore does not require additional compatible components. Combinations of containers and closures that are created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we always recommend carrying out your own compatibility test (sealing, dosing and behaviour of the packaging in contact with the specific formulation).

Yes, the construction of the jar with a practical screw-on lid is also suitable for denser creams, balms or butters. The wide opening makes it easier to fill and scoop the product, and when the lid is properly tightened it helps reduce the risk of leakage or contamination of the contents during storage and transport.
The jar can be used repeatedly if hygiene principles are observed. Before each new filling, the container and lid must be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected, ideally using a suitable alcohol, for example IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based. This reduces the risk of microbial contamination and of affecting the stability of the new formulation by residues of the previous product.
First mechanically remove the residues of the original product, then wash the jar with lukewarm water and a suitable cleaning agent and rinse well. After drying, it is recommended to disinfect the inner surface of the container and the lid with alcohol – products such as IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based are suitable. Before filling, let the packaging dry completely to minimise the risk of dilution or deterioration of the new formulation.
If you decide not to reuse the jar, we recommend emptying it, mechanically removing product residues and, according to the material designation in the product parameters, placing it in the appropriate sorted waste stream. The body of the container and the lid usually belong in the container intended for plastic packaging, but always follow the specific symbol and recommendation in the parameter table. By sorting correctly, you enable effective recycling and reduce the amount of mixed waste.
