Is this glass bottle also suitable for thicker cosmetic products?

The bottle with dispenser is ideal especially for liquid to medium-viscosity products such as serums, light emulsions and oil blends. For significantly thick creams or balms, dosing may be limited, therefore we recommend performing a trial filling and testing the product’s flow through the dispenser before introducing it into production.

How can I properly clean the glass bottle before first use?

Before the first filling we recommend first cleaning the bottle mechanically (rinsing with suitable water or a cleaning solution) and then disinfecting it. For disinfecting the packaging, alcohol-based solutions are suitable, for example IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or ethanol 96 % denatured, plant-based. After disinfection, let the packaging dry completely in a clean environment and only then proceed to filling the final product.

Is it possible to reuse this bottle for further batches of products?

The glass packaging can be reused if hygiene principles are observed. However, before each new filling it is necessary to thoroughly clean and disinfect both the bottle and the dispenser, ideally using a suitable alcohol such as IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or ethanol 96 % denatured, plant-based. This minimises the risk of microbial contamination and undesirable changes in the scent, colour or stability of the new product.

How can I dispose of or recycle the glass bottle and dispenser in an environmentally friendly way if I no longer wish to use them?

If you decide not to reuse the packaging, we recommend placing it, after emptying and basic cleaning, into sorted waste according to the material types indicated in the parameters of the specific product. The glass part of the bottle can usually be placed in a glass container. Plastic or composite parts of the dispenser are sorted according to the relevant material group, or it is appropriate to hand them over to a recycling yard. Always follow local waste-sorting rules and the information given in the parameter table for the product on the Handymade website.
