The plastic bottle made from recycled material with a trigger spray is a practical and sustainable packaging suitable for filling various liquid preparations for home, craft and semi-professional use. Thanks to the integrated sprayer, it allows even and comfortable application of the contents directly onto the skin, hair, surfaces or textiles. Recycled plastic reduces the environmental footprint while providing reliable protection of the contents against external influences during storage and use.
The packaging can be used repeatedly if hygiene principles are observed, especially with the same or a similar filling. Before each new filling, the bottle and sprayer must be thoroughly cleaned and then disinfected with a suitable agent, for example isopropyl alcohol (IPA 99 %) or ethanol (Ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based). After disinfection, allow all parts to dry completely at room temperature and only then refill the packaging.
First empty the bottle and rinse it with a suitable cleaning solution or warm water with a mild detergent, avoiding exposure to very hot water. If possible, also disassemble the trigger sprayer and rinse the suction tube. After mechanical cleaning, apply disinfection – for example by spraying or filling the packaging with an isopropyl alcohol or ethanol solution and pumping it through the spray mechanism. For disinfection you can use the products IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol and Ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based. After disinfection, allow all parts to dry thoroughly in a clean place.
The PET plastic material from which the bottle is made should not be exposed to high temperatures. When subjected to hot water, steam or drying cycles in the dishwasher, the packaging may deform or the spray mechanism may be damaged. Likewise, it is not recommended to boil the packaging or sterilise it with boiling water. For cleaning and disinfection, use rather lukewarm water with a mild cleaning agent and then an alcohol-based disinfectant product in accordance with the recommendations of the manufacturer of the filled formulation.
Store the packaging in a dry and clean place, protected from direct sunlight and heat sources. PET material is not intended for long-term exposure to high temperatures, therefore it is not recommended to leave filled bottles in a car in hot sun, near radiators or other heat sources. When filling formulations with a higher content of alcohol or active substances, always carry out your own compatibility test – check the stability of the plastic, the functionality of the sprayer and any changes in the appearance or smell of the filling after a certain storage time.
If you decide not to use the packaging further, it is recommended to recycle it according to the material designation stated in the product parameters. A bottle made of PET material is usually sorted into the container designated for plastic waste. Before disposal, empty the packaging, rinse out any remaining contents if necessary and reduce the volume by squeezing it, if the shape allows. The trigger sprayer may, according to local sorting rules, be considered a combined plastic component – therefore follow the recommendations of the waste collection system in your municipality. By sorting correctly, you support closing the recycling loop and the efficient use of recycled materials.
The easiest way is to use the advanced filter in the packaging material categories. After clicking on the relevant category (for example bottles, jars or sprayers), you will find at the top of the page the option to filter according to several parameters. Using the advanced filter, you can sort packaging by neck type, size, colour or material and quickly choose a solution that best matches your product and the intended dosing method.
