Before the first filling, it is advisable to visually check the bottle, rinse it with clean water and then dry it thoroughly. To ensure hygienic cleanliness, we recommend disinfecting the inner surface and the neck of the container with a suitable alcohol-based preparation, for example using the products IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based, and only filling the bottle after the alcohol has completely evaporated.

The bottle can be reused provided strict hygiene rules and an appropriately chosen cleaning procedure are followed. Before each refilling, the container must be thoroughly cleaned, any residues of the previous product removed and then disinfected with an alcohol-based preparation, for example IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based. When switching to a different type of formulation (for example from oil-based to water-based), we recommend carrying out a trial filling and observing whether any residual odours or discolouration remain.

If you decide not to reuse the bottle, we recommend placing it in separate collection according to the material indicated in the product parameters. The glass part can, after being emptied and given a basic rinse, normally be placed in the glass container; the metal aluminium cap belongs in the metal container, provided your municipality’s collection system allows this. Before placing it into collection, it is advisable to remove any remaining contents; any labels do not always need to be completely peeled off, but local waste-sorting rules should be followed.

When filling thicker or oil-based products, we recommend using suitable funnels or dosing tools to avoid soiling the neck and the thread. After filling, it is a good idea to wipe the outer thread and the sealing surface of the cap with a clean, lint-free cloth. This reduces the risk of solidified product residues in the thread and at the same time improves the seal between the glass neck and the aluminium cap during storage and transport.
