Before each new filling it is essential to clean and disinfect the bottle and the sprayer thoroughly in order to minimize the risk of microbial contamination. For disinfection we recommend suitable alcohol-based preparations, for example isopropyl alcohol or ethanol available in the Handymade range, which you will find as IPA (isopropylalkohol) and denatured plant ethanol in the category of raw materials for disinfection. After thorough drying, the packaging can be refilled, and it is important to check the correct function of the sprayer and the sealing of the closure.

Before a new filling we recommend first rinsing the bottle and the sprayer itself with a suitable cleaning solution, then with clean water, and afterwards disinfecting them with an alcohol-based preparation. In the Handymade assortment there are suitable alcohol-based products for this purpose intended for the disinfection of packaging and work tools. Pour the disinfectant into a clean container, rinse the bottle thoroughly and force part of the solution through the sprayer as well, so that the entire dosing mechanism is cleaned. After disinfection, let all parts dry freely at room temperature and only then refill the bottle with the final product. When cleaning, avoid extremely high temperatures so as not to damage the plastic material or the sprayer mechanism.

If you decide not to use the bottle with sprayer repeatedly, we recommend recycling it in accordance with the recommendations given with the product in the parameters section. First it is advisable to empty the packaging, and if necessary rinse out any product residues, in order to minimize contamination of the waste. According to the type of material stated in the product parameters, you then place the packaging in the appropriate separate collection stream (for example among plastics in the case of a plastic bottle) and, if possible, separate the sprayer from the bottle body. Always follow local waste-sorting rules and the recycling symbols on the packaging or in the product documentation.
