The plastic bottle for cleaning agents is a practical and functional packaging intended for filling various types of household, hobby and semi-professional cleaning solutions. Thanks to a suitably chosen shape and material, the packaging is stable, sits well in the hand and facilitates the dosing of liquid preparations during cleaning and routine household maintenance. The bottle is designed to reliably protect the contents during storage and transport, while at the same time allowing convenient use in combination with various types of closures and sprayers.
Plastic bottles of this type are compatible with various types of closures and dosing systems (for example screw caps, sprayers, closures with a narrow spout or practical applicators) according to the parameters selected for the product. Combinations of packaging and closures that are created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we recommend always performing your own compatibility test – verifying sealing, dosing and the behaviour of the packaging in contact with the specific cleaning formulation.
All technical parameters of the packaging are given in the attached Packaging Quality Certificate and in the product parameters.
Yes, the bottle can be reused for cleaning agents, provided that you observe basic hygiene rules and the packaging is not mechanically damaged. Before each new filling, we recommend thoroughly cleaning the packaging and then disinfecting it with a suitable alcohol-based preparation, for example IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol 1 l or Ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based 1 l. After it has completely dried, the container can be filled again. However, we do not recommend combining repeated use with different types of products, in order to avoid undesirable mixing of residues.
After using up the cleaning agent, first rinse the bottle with water to remove residual product. Depending on the nature of the original contents, you can also use a small amount of neutral detergent and repeated rinsing. It is then appropriate to disinfect the packaging with an alcohol solution – for example using the product IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol 1 l or Ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based 1 l. After disinfection, leave the interior and outer surface to dry completely at room temperature. Only then is the bottle ready for further safe use.
If you decide not to use the bottle further, we recommend recycling it as a priority. First, use up or safely remove any remaining cleaning product and rinse the container. Then sort the packaging into the collection container designated for the type of plastic that is listed in the product parameter table (for example a yellow container for plastics, if this corresponds to the material marking). The closure, or the sprayer, may be made from a different plastic – if possible, separate it and sort it according to local waste sorting rules. Recycling recommendations may differ slightly depending on the municipality, so it is advisable to follow local guidance as well.
This type of plastic packaging should not be exposed to high temperatures. When in contact with hot water, a direct heat source or an attempt at boiling, there is a risk of deformation of the bottle and deterioration of sealing performance. For the same reason, washing in a dishwasher is not recommended, as a combination of elevated temperature and cleaning chemistry acts there. For cleaning, it is appropriate to use lukewarm water, possibly a mild detergent, followed by rinsing with clean water and disinfection with alcohol. This helps maintain the dimensional stability and functionality of the closure or sprayer.
To select a suitable packaging, you can use the advanced filter, which you will find at the top of the page after clicking on the relevant packaging category (for example bottles, jars, sprayers). In the advanced filter, you can conveniently choose parameters such as the neck type, size, colour and material of the packaging. After setting the filters, only products that meet your requirements are displayed, which speeds up the selection of a suitable bottle for a specific cleaning agent or other formulation. For non-standard applications, we always recommend testing the compatibility of the packaging with your product in a smaller trial batch.
The bottle is designed for common types of cleaning agents used in households and small craft production, but the specific suitability always depends on the composition of the formulation. For concentrated or chemically more aggressive preparations, we recommend carrying out your own compatibility test – filling a small amount of product and monitoring over time the stability of the material, the sealing and the functionality of the dosing element. If there are changes in the appearance of the plastic, deformation or loss of sealing, it is advisable to choose another type of packaging or material listed within the range of packaging on Handymade.
