FAQ – Frequently asked questions

Is it possible to use this plastic bottle with sprayer repeatedly?

Yes, the packaging can be used repeatedly if hygiene rules are observed. Before each new filling, the bottle and the sprayer must be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected in order to minimise the risk of microbial contamination of the product. For disinfection, we recommend using a suitable alcohol-based preparation, for example IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based. After rinsing, let all parts dry well and only then refill again.

How can I safely dispose of and recycle this plastic packaging if I no longer want to use it?

If you decide not to reuse the packaging, we recommend recycling it according to the material designation given in the product parameters. Before handing it over for separate collection, empty the bottle and, if possible, rinse out any product residues. Then place it in the appropriate container according to the type of plastic (according to the recycling symbol indicated with the product). The sprayer may contain a combination of several materials, so if necessary, sort it according to local collection rules or hand it over together with the plastic packaging if the collection system in your municipality allows this.

For which types of products is this packaging most suitable in terms of dosing with the sprayer?

The sprayer is most suitable for low-viscosity, water-based products such as facial and body waters, hydrolats, hair sprays, air fresheners or mild cleaning solutions. For thicker emulsions or preparations with a higher content of oil phase, we recommend carrying out a functionality test to check that the spraying mechanism works smoothly and without clogging.

How should I proceed when cleaning the bottle and sprayer between individual fillings?

First completely empty the bottle and the sprayer and disassemble them into individual parts, as far as the design allows. Then rinse the inside of the bottle with lukewarm water and a mild cleaning agent, rinse well and let it dry. Rinse the sprayer with clean water by pressing the mechanism several times so that the water reaches the entire system. Before reuse, we recommend final disinfection with a suitable alcohol (e.g. the products IPA 99 % or Ethanol 96 %) and thorough drying of all parts.
