FAQ – Frequently asked questions

Can this plastic bottle with sprayer be used repeatedly?

The packaging can be reused if strict hygiene rules are observed. Before each new filling, it is necessary to thoroughly clean and disinfect the bottle and the sprayer mechanism, ideally using a suitable alcohol, for example isopropyl alcohol or plant-based ethanol. Make sure the packaging is completely dry and check the flawless functioning of the sprayer in order to ensure appropriate hygiene and stability of your product.

How should the bottle be properly cleaned and disinfected before further use?

First rinse the bottle with warm water and a suitable cleaning agent to remove residues of the original contents. Then use an alcohol-based disinfectant (e.g. the ALK001 / ALK002 products from our range), which you pour into the packaging and pump several times through the sprayer so that the internal mechanism is also cleaned. After disinfection, allow all parts to air and dry thoroughly at room temperature. Avoid boiling or washing in a dishwasher, as there is a risk of packaging deformation with PET material.

Is this plastic packaging suitable for use at higher temperatures or for hot products?

The PET-type plastic material is not intended for long-term exposure to high temperatures or for filling with hot products. In contact with excessively hot liquid or when heated (for example near a heat source or when drying with hot air), the bottle may undergo undesirable deformation or the functionality of the sprayer may change. The packaging is not suitable for washing in a dishwasher or for boiling; gentle cleaning with lukewarm water and disinfection with alcohol is recommended.

How should I properly recycle the bottle with sprayer if I do not want to use it further?

If you decide not to reuse the packaging, we recommend placing it in separated collection according to the material specified in the product parameters. First empty the bottle as much as possible and rinse it so that no product residues remain. Then place it in the appropriate plastics container according to local recycling rules. In the case of a combination of several materials, it is advisable, where possible, to separate the plastic parts of the sprayer from the bottle body. In this way, you will contribute to more efficient waste processing and higher-quality material recycling.

Before final filling, we recommend testing the compatibility of your formulation with the plastic of the bottle and with the sprayer mechanism itself: check whether there are any changes in the appearance of the packaging, whether the mechanism reliably draws up the contents and whether clogging does not occur with products containing oils, pigments or more solid components. In this way, you will verify the optimal functionality and long-term reliability of the packaging.
