FAQ – Frequently asked questions

Can this plastic bottle be used repeatedly?

The bottle can be used repeatedly if hygiene principles are observed; however, we recommend always performing thorough cleaning and disinfection of the entire packaging, including the sprayer, between individual fillings. Before refilling, the packaging should be mechanically washed, rinsed and then disinfected with a suitable agent, for example isopropyl alcohol IPA 99 % or denatured plant-based ethanol Ethanol 96 %. After disinfection, all parts must be allowed to dry completely at room temperature. Do not expose PET material to high temperatures and do not boil it, in order to prevent deformation of the packaging.

How should I properly clean and disinfect this PET bottle?

When cleaning PET packaging, we recommend first rinsing the bottle with warm (not boiling) water and a mild cleaning agent, and then rinsing thoroughly with clean water. PET material is not suitable for exposure to high temperatures, therefore do not boil the bottle or the sprayer and do not wash them in a dishwasher, in order to avoid deformation. After washing, you can disinfect the inside of the packaging and the sprayer with alcohol-based preparations, for example IPA 99 % or Ethanol 96 %. After disinfection, allow all parts to dry naturally and only then refill them.

How can I safely dispose of and recycle this plastic bottle with sprayer?

If you decide not to reuse the packaging, we recommend recycling it responsibly according to the type of material specified in the product parameters. The bottle is made of plastic which is normally sorted into the appropriate container for plastic waste; it is advisable to remove any product residues and, where possible, separate the bottle from the sprayer. Individual parts of the packaging may be made of different materials, so follow the pictograms and information in the technical parameters. Before placing the packaging in sorted waste, we recommend emptying it, rinsing it and reducing its volume by compressing it, which reduces the load on the collection system.

For which type of products is this sprayer most suitable?

The sprayer is designed primarily for liquid, low-viscosity preparations, such as facial and body mists, hydrolats, facial refreshers, hair sprays, room and textile sprays, or aromatherapeutic blends diluted in water or alcohol. For thicker emulsions or oil-based formulations, we recommend first testing the dosing on a smaller sample in order to verify the smoothness of spraying and the fineness of the mist. For significantly thicker products, a different type of applicator, for example a pump, may be more suitable.
