The combinations of packaging and closures created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we always recommend carrying out your own compatibility test – in particular sealing, the behaviour of the packaging during filling and in contact with the specific formulation, as well as stability during storage.

FAQ – Most frequent questions

Is this plastic jar suitable for packaging greasier or thicker cosmetic products?

The jar is suitable for various types of thicker and semi-solid formulations, such as ointments, balms, body butters or thicker creams. For very active or unusual compositions, we always recommend doing a trial filling and a short-term stability test in order to verify the behaviour of the packaging in contact with the specific formula.

Can I use the plastic jar repeatedly?

The jar can be used repeatedly if hygiene principles are followed. Before each new filling, it is necessary to clean the packaging thoroughly and then disinfect it, ideally using alcohol-based preparations such as IPA 99% isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96% denatured plant. Only after the packaging has completely dried and aired out is it suitable to refill it, in order to minimise the risk of contamination of the product.

How should I safely dispose of and recycle this packaging if I do not want to continue using it?

If you decide not to use the jar repeatedly, we recommend that, after thoroughly emptying it and basically cleaning off product residues, you place it in sorted waste according to the material designation indicated in the product parameters. You should follow local waste sorting rules – plastic packaging is usually placed in the container for plastics. It is advisable to minimise internal residues of formulations in order to simplify subsequent recycling of the material.

Is this jar also suitable for taking samples for customers or for travel-size packaging?

Yes, the compact dimensions and safe closure make this jar a practical choice for product samples and small travel-size packaging.
