The jar is designed as a practical container for storing smaller quantities of cosmetic mixtures, balms and creams. With a properly chosen formulation, suitable preservative and stabilising components and adherence to hygiene principles during filling, the jar can also be used for longer-term storage. We recommend carrying out your own stability tests with the specific formulation, especially for products intended for sale.

How can I reuse the jar and what do I need to do before refilling it?

The jar can be reused provided hygiene principles are observed. Before each new filling, the container must be thoroughly cleaned, all residues of the original product removed, and then disinfected with a suitable alcohol-based preparation, for example isopropyl alcohol or ethanol. For disinfection you can use the products IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based. Only after the container has completely dried is the jar ready for safe refilling.

Is the plastic jar suitable for carrying in a handbag or travel toiletry bag?

Thanks to its compact dimensions and low weight, the jar is suitable for travelling and for everyday carrying in a handbag or luggage. The firmly fitting lid helps minimise the risk of accidental opening.
