Is this jar suitable for packaging oily balms and richer creams?

Yes, the jar is suitable for richer balms, ointments and creamy products that can be conveniently taken out with a finger or a spatula. For formulations with a higher proportion of oils or essential oils, we recommend making a trial filling in order to verify the long-term stability of the packaging and the contents during normal use and storage.

Can I use this jar repeatedly for further batches of products?

The jar can be used repeatedly if hygiene principles are followed, especially for personal use or internal product testing. Before each new filling, however, the jar must be thoroughly cleaned and then disinfected with a suitable alcohol-based preparation, for example isopropyl alcohol available as IPA 99 – isopropyl alcohol (ALK001) or plant-based ethanol (ALK002). This reduces the risk of microbial contamination and extends the safe use of the packaging.

How should the jar be properly cleaned before further use?

First mechanically remove the residues of the original product and wash the jar with lukewarm water and a mild cleaning agent suitable for contact with cosmetics. After rinsing, allow the packaging to dry and then disinfect it with an alcohol solution, for example isopropyl alcohol or denatured ethanol, which you can find in the Handymade range. After the alcohol has completely evaporated, the jar is ready for a new filling.

How can I safely dispose of and recycle the jar if I do not want to use it repeatedly?

If you decide not to reuse the jar, we recommend that after emptying and basic cleaning you place it in sorted waste according to the type of material specified in the parameter table for the product on Handymade.sk. This allows the recycling system to process it effectively and reduces the amount of unnecessary waste. For larger quantities of packaging, it is advisable to follow the recommendations of the local collection system and follow the pictograms and information given for the specific product.

Is the jar also suitable for professional use in salons and for selling samples?

Thanks to its properties, the jar is also suitable for professional environments – for packaging testers, small gift sizes or working samples for clients. It is recommended to follow a uniform labelling system (for example labels with the product name, composition and expiry date) and during filling and storage to proceed according to the internal hygiene standards of your facility.
