FAQ – Most frequent questions

Is this sprayer suitable for thicker emulsions or oil blends?

The sprayer is designed primarily for liquids with low to medium viscosity, such as aqueous solutions, hydrolats or light toners. For thicker emulsions or oil blends we always recommend carrying out a trial filling and testing flow-through performance, uniformity of the spray and the return stroke of the mechanism, so that clogging of the dip tube or nozzle does not occur.

How should I clean the sprayer correctly and use it repeatedly?

The sprayer can be used repeatedly if hygiene principles are observed. Before each new filling we recommend rinsing the mechanism and the dip tube thoroughly with a suitable cleaning solution, then rinsing with water and disinfecting before reuse – for example using isopropyl alcohol or denatured ethanol. Only after complete evaporation of alcohol residues is the sprayer ready for new filling.

How should I correctly test the compatibility of the sprayer with my product?

Before introducing it into regular production we recommend filling a smaller sample bottle with the final formulation and using the sprayer for several days to several weeks. Observe sealing at the thread, smoothness of the trigger stroke, formation of the spray, any changes in the colour of the plastic and the stability of the fragrance and texture. If no changes or leakage of contents occur, the combination can be considered suitable for long-term use.

How can I dispose of the sprayer and the empty bottle in an environmentally friendly way if I do not want to use them further?

If you decide not to reuse the packaging, we recommend recycling it according to the material specified in the parameters of the particular product. Before placing it in sorted waste, always empty the contents as thoroughly as possible and mechanically clean the packaging from product residues. Then sort the bottle and the sprayer into the appropriate container according to the type of plastic, so that the material can be used as efficiently as possible in the recycling process.
