FAQ – Most common questions

Is this plastic jar suitable for long-term storage of cosmetic products?

The plastic jar is intended for practical packing of smaller amounts of creamy, gel and loose cosmetic products. With correct filling, appropriate closure and adherence to the recommended storage conditions (adequate temperature, protection from direct sunlight and contamination), it is also suitable for longer-term storage. However, we always recommend verifying the stability of the specific formulation with a test batch and monitoring any changes in fragrance, consistency or colour over time.

Can I reuse the jar for new batches of products?

The jar can be reused provided strict hygiene rules are followed. Before each refilling, the packaging must be thoroughly cleaned and then disinfected to minimise the risk of microbial contamination and extend the shelf life of the product. For disinfection we recommend using a suitable alcohol-based preparation, for example isopropyl alcohol or plant-based ethanol, which you can find in the offer as IPA 99% isopropyl alcohol and ethanol 96% denatured plant-based. After disinfection, allow the packaging to dry completely and only then fill it with a new product.

How should I correctly fill the jar to prevent contamination of the product?

When filling, pay attention to the cleanliness of the work surface, tools and the jar itself. It is recommended to use a clean spatula, syringe or suitable filling tool to minimise contact of the product with hands. Do not overfill the jar to the rim; leave a small headspace for safe closure with the lid and easier handling. If you are working with thicker creams or butters, you can level the surface after filling with a spatula so that the lid sits comfortably and evenly.

How can I safely dispose of or recycle this packaging if I do not want to use it further?

If you decide not to reuse the jar, it is recommended to recycle it in accordance with the information stated in the parameter table for the product. The material designation on the packaging and in the parameters will indicate which type of sorted waste it belongs to (for example plastics). Before placing it in the collection container, remove product residues and, if possible, rinse the packaging to make the recycling process easier. Always follow the local waste sorting rules of your municipality or city.
