The plastic bottle made from recycled material with sprayer represents a practical and aesthetic packaging for modern cosmetic formulations as well as for homemade cleansing or refreshing blends. FAQ – Frequently asked questions

Is it possible to use this bottle with sprayer repeatedly?

Yes, the packaging can be used repeatedly if hygiene principles are observed. Before each new filling, we recommend thoroughly cleaning and disinfecting the bottle and the sprayer in order to minimise the risk of microbial contamination and deterioration of the product. For disinfection you can use, for example, isopropyl alcohol or ethanol from our range – IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based. After applying the disinfectant, let all parts dry completely and only then refill the packaging.

How to correctly clean and disinfect the bottle before further use?

First disassemble the packaging – separate the bottle from the sprayer and, if possible, also the inner tube. Rinse the remains of the original product thoroughly with lukewarm water and, depending on the type of formulation, use a mild cleaning agent. Then apply an alcohol-based disinfectant, for example IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based, making sure that the disinfectant also gets into the spraying mechanism. After shaking and pumping a small amount of disinfecting solution through the nozzle, let all parts dry thoroughly in a clean and ventilated place.

How to safely dispose of and recycle this packaging if I do not want to continue using it?

If you decide not to reuse the packaging, we recommend recycling it according to the type of plastic indicated in the product parameters. Before disposal, empty the bottle, remove any product residues and, where possible, separate the individual parts (bottle body, closure, sprayer). Place the container corresponding to the material marking in the appropriate bin for sorted waste according to local rules, while the spraying mechanism may belong to mixed or plastic waste according to the guidance in your municipality. Following the instructions given for the product on the Handymade website helps to ensure correct sorting and recovery of the used material.

Is this plastic packaging resistant to high temperatures or boiling?

The plastic packaging is not intended to be exposed to high temperatures. With long-term or repeated exposure to heat, unwanted deformation of the bottle or deterioration of the functionality of the sprayer may occur. We do not recommend boiling, using steam sterilisers or washing in a dishwasher. For cleaning and disinfection, it is more suitable to use lukewarm water in combination with a mild cleaning agent and subsequently disinfecting alcohol (e.g. IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based), which are gentle on the material when used correctly.
