Is it possible to use this plastic bottle repeatedly?

The bottle can be used repeatedly provided that correct hygiene practices are followed and the material is suitable for your specific formulation. Before each new filling, the container must be thoroughly cleaned and then disinfected, for example using isopropyl alcohol or ethanol. For this purpose, you can use the products IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol and ethanol 96 % denatured plant‑based, available in the raw materials category on Handymade. This minimizes the risk of microbial contamination during further use.

Can I wash this plastic bottle in a dishwasher or boil it?

Plastic containers made of PET‑type material are not suitable for washing in a dishwasher or for boiling. High temperatures and prolonged exposure to hot water may lead to deformation of the packaging and deterioration of its mechanical properties. For cleaning, we recommend gentle hand washing in lukewarm water with a mild detergent, thorough rinsing and subsequent disinfection with a suitable alcohol‑based preparation to ensure hygienic cleanliness before the next filling.

How should I properly disinfect the bottle before refilling?

After mechanical cleaning of the container, we recommend using alcohol‑based disinfection. A practical solution is to treat the inner and outer surfaces with isopropyl alcohol or denatured ethanol, which are part of the Handymade range. After application, allow the alcohol to act and then let the container dry completely at room temperature. This procedure helps to reduce the microbial load and is suitable when repeatedly filling cosmetic or craft products.

How can I safely dispose of and recycle this plastic packaging if I no longer want to use it?

If you decide not to reuse the container, we recommend recycling it according to the material designation given in the product parameters. Before handing it over for separate collection, remove any product residues and rinse the container to make its processing easier. Then dispose of it in the container intended for the relevant type of plastic (usually the yellow container). Respecting local waste separation rules and the recycling symbols on the packaging contributes to more efficient processing of plastic waste.
