The transparent round plastic bottle with a matte white cap represents a practical, lightweight and durable packaging, ideal for filling various liquid and gel-based preparations. Can this plastic bottle be reused?

The bottle can be reused provided you observe basic hygiene principles and regularly check its condition. Before each refilling, it is necessary to wash, clean and disinfect the packaging thoroughly in order to minimise the risk of microbial contamination and product deterioration. For disinfection, we recommend using a suitable alcohol-based preparation, for example isopropyl alcohol or 96 % denatured plant ethanol, in accordance with the recommendations for working with alcohols. At the same time, it is important that the packaging is completely dry and free from residues of cleaning agents before filling.

How should the bottle be properly cleaned and disinfected before further use?

First remove any remaining original contents, rinse the bottle with warm water and, if necessary, with a mild suitable detergent. We then recommend using alcohol‑based disinfection – for example isopropyl alcohol or 96 % denatured plant ethanol, which help to reduce the microbial load on the packaging surface. After applying the disinfectant, allow the packaging to air and dry thoroughly at room temperature. Do not boil the bottle or the closure and do not wash them in a dishwasher, in order to prevent deformation of the material.

Is this plastic packaging suitable for exposure to higher temperatures or thermal sterilisation?

The plastic bottle is not intended to be exposed to high temperatures or to thermal sterilisation by boiling or heating in an oven. Prolonged or repeated exposure to higher temperatures may lead to deformation, weakening of the material and deterioration of the closure’s function. For this reason, the packaging is not suitable for dishwashers or boiling. For disinfection and hygienic preparation prior to filling, we recommend using solely alcohol‑based chemical disinfection in an appropriate concentration and allowing the packaging to dry at room temperature away from direct sources of heat.

How should I correctly recycle the bottle if I do not want to use it further?

If you decide not to continue using the packaging, we recommend recycling it according to the type of plastic specified in the product parameters in the e‑shop. First empty the bottle completely and rinse out any remaining contents. Then dispose of it in the appropriate container for sorted waste according to local recycling rules (usually a plastic container). It is advisable to separate the closure if it is made of a different material and sort it according to the recommendations of the local collection system. By following these principles, you will support efficient raw material recycling and reduce the amount of waste.
