The PET plastic bottle is a lightweight, durable and practical container suitable for a wide range of liquid cosmetic products as well as other formulations. Thanks to its transparent design, it allows visual control of the contents, which is appreciated for products where colour or consistency is important. This type of packaging is a popular choice among both home and professional manufacturers of cosmetics and hygiene products.
The bottle is designed to reliably hold various types of liquid products, from thin toners to thicker soaps or gels. The PET plastic material is dimensionally stable, lightweight and pleasant to handle, which makes filling, storage and subsequent use by end customers easier.
The bottle can be reused if basic hygiene principles are observed and the PET material is suitable for the given type of filling. Before each new filling, it is necessary to clean the container thoroughly and then disinfect it, for example using isopropyl alcohol or ethanol (IPA 99% isopropyl alcohol, Ethanol 96% denatured vegetable). The PET material should not be exposed to high temperatures, therefore do not boil the bottle and do not wash it in a dishwasher.
The bottle is particularly suitable for liquid cosmetic and hygiene products such as toners, micellar waters, facial and body sprays, shampoos, shower gels, liquid soaps and light oil blends. Thanks to its transparent design, it is also very useful for products where you need to monitor the colour and clarity of the contents. Before filling, always check the compatibility of your specific formulation with the PET material.
First we recommend thoroughly rinsing the container with lukewarm water and a suitable mild cleaning agent that is compatible with the PET material. Then rinse the bottle with clean water, allow it to drain and dry at room temperature. After drying, the container needs to be disinfected, ideally using alcohol-based disinfectants such as IPA 99% isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96% denatured vegetable. Avoid boiling or washing in a dishwasher to prevent deformation of the PET plastic.
If you decide not to use the bottle any longer, it is recommended to recycle it according to the material type specified in the product parameters. For PET containers, it is usually appropriate to empty the contents, clean it as thoroughly as possible from product residues and then place it in the relevant sorted plastic collection according to local rules. Before recycling, we recommend removing the closure and any labels if required by the local sorting system. In this way you ensure more environmentally friendly handling of the container and its further material recovery.

Many formulations containing alcohol or essential oils can be safely stored in PET bottles; however, we always recommend performing your own compatibility test. Fill a smaller test amount of the product into the container and after a certain period observe any changes – softening of the plastic, change of shape, discolouration or changes in odour. For formulations with a high proportion of alcohol or essential oils, it may be appropriate to consider alternative materials or special types of containers recommended for the given type of product.
