The packaging can be reused if basic hygiene rules are observed. Before each new filling, it is necessary to thoroughly clean and disinfect the bottle and the sprayer, ideally using a suitable alcohol, for example isopropyl alcohol or plant-based ethanol. After disinfection, let all parts dry completely. For PET material avoid high temperatures – do not boil the packaging and do not wash it in a dishwasher so that deformation does not occur.

The sprayer is most suitable for liquid and low-viscosity preparations that require even dispersion in the form of a mist or fine spray. These include, for example, facial and body lotions, hydrolates, hair sprays, air fresheners, textile sprays or light cleaning solutions. For thicker or oil-based formulations it is important to test the flow rate and spraying behaviour in advance so that the nozzle does not become clogged.

Store the bottle away from direct sources of heat and intense sunlight. For PET material make sure that it is not exposed to high temperatures, for example when boiling or in a dishwasher, because it may become deformed. For normal cleaning use lukewarm water and a suitable cleaning agent, and for disinfection use alcohol. Do not press the sprayer by force when the nozzle is blocked – in case of clogging, first rinse it with clean water or alcohol.

If you decide not to reuse the packaging, we recommend recycling it in accordance with the material marking given in the product parameters. Before handing the bottle body and the sprayer over to separated collection, remove any remaining product and, depending on the type of plastic, place them in the appropriate container for plastics. In the case of a combination of several materials, proceed according to local waste collection rules – in most cases it is sufficient to empty the packaging, give it a basic rinse and throw it into plastics, since modern sorting lines can further process the individual components.

Technically it is possible to clean the packaging and then use it for another type of product, but we recommend making sure that the new filling is compatible with any residues of the previous contents. Before changing the product, always rinse the bottle and the sprayer thoroughly, clean them mechanically and disinfect them with a suitable alcohol, for example IPA 99 % or ethanol 96 %. Only after complete drying and assessment of the compatibility of the new formulation with the packaging material is it appropriate to refill the container.
