The bottle is suitable for repeated use if hygiene principles are observed. Before each refilling, the packaging must be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected in order to minimize the risk of microbial contamination or residues of the previous product. For disinfection we recommend using, for example, isopropyl alcohol or ethanol of the required purity, which you can find in our range as IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol and Ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based. After treatment, allow the packaging and the pipette to dry completely before refilling them.

First we recommend rinsing the bottle with a suitable solvent (for example a vegetable oil for oil-based blends or water with a mild cleansing agent for water-based formulations). Then rinse the packaging thoroughly with clean water, allow it to drain and dry. Finally, disinfection is required – for this step you can use alcohol solutions available in the Handymade range, specifically IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based. The pipette should be disinfected by immersing it in the disinfectant solution and then allowing it to dry on a clean surface.

The dropper pipette with safety lock is ideal for formulations where precise drop-by-drop dosing is critical. Typically this includes intensive facial serums, oil concentrates, blends of essential oils, active cosmetic ingredients, special treatments for nails or scalp and other products where you need to control the volume of the applied amount. The safety lock also helps secure the packaging during transport or for products that you do not want to open unintentionally, for example when carried in a handbag.

If you decide not to use the packaging further, we recommend recycling it according to the material composition given in the product parameters. The glass part of the bottle can, after cleaning, be routinely sorted into the container designated for glass, and it is advisable to remove any label and product residues. The closure with pipette is usually a combination of several materials (for example plastic, rubber, glass), so it is best to separate these before disposal and sort them according to the information in the product description and parameter table. Always follow local waste-sorting rules and the recommendations given for the specific packaging on Handymade.
