The glass bottle with a black matte surface and a white-gold spray pump represents an elegant and functional packaging suitable for filling various liquid preparations. Thanks to the stable glass and practical spray pump, it is ideal for products where gentle, even dosing and limited contact of the contents with air are important. The dark glass helps protect more sensitive ingredients from light, which, within the scope of the recommended use, supports better stability and a longer shelf life of formulations.
This glass bottle is ready to be combined with suitable types of closures and dosing systems according to the available variants in the offer. They are compatible with various types of closures and dispensers (for example screw caps, droppers, spray pumps or practical applicators) according to the selected parameters in the product details. Combinations of packaging and closures that are created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we always recommend carrying out your own compatibility test (sealing, dosing and behaviour of the packaging in contact with the specific formulation).

Glass is generally a very stable and inert material, which is also suitable for formulations containing alcohol or essential oils. However, we always recommend performing your own compatibility test – fill a smaller amount of product, observe the behaviour of the spray pump and the surface of the bottle, and only then proceed to filling the full volume. In this way you will verify that the chosen packaging is fully suitable for your specific recipe.
The glass bottle can be reused provided that hygiene principles are followed. Before each new filling, the packaging must be thoroughly cleaned, allowed to dry and subsequently disinfected with a suitable alcohol-based preparation, for example IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based. The spray pump, as a mechanical part, naturally wears out over time, so it is important to continuously check its functionality and replace it in case of reduced performance or a change in spray pattern.
Before reuse, we recommend first rinsing the bottle with the remainder of a suitable solvent (for example water or alcohol, depending on the type of the previous filling), then washing it with a mild cleaning agent, rinsing thoroughly with clean water and allowing it to dry completely. Only then proceed to disinfection – ideally using alcohol-based preparations such as isopropyl alcohol or plant-based ethanol. Spread the disinfectant solution over the inner surface, leave it to act briefly and, before filling, ensure that no residues of non-evaporated disinfectant remain inside that could affect your formulation.
If you decide not to reuse the bottle, we recommend recycling it responsibly. After emptying and basic rinsing, place the glass container in the appropriate glass recycling bin according to local waste collection rules. Separate the plastic part of the spray pump (the upper part with the mechanism and the dip tube) from the glass and sort it according to the recommendations of your waste collection company for plastic waste. When sorting, also follow the material information given in the parameter table of the specific product on the website so that recycling is as accurate and efficient as possible.
