The glass bottle with a black matte surface and black-gold dropper is an elegant and professional packaging designed especially for the precise dispensing of liquid cosmetic and aromatherapeutic preparations. The combination of high-quality glass and a functional dropper enables comfortable use, clean application and minimisation of product waste. The dark, opaque glass naturally helps protect sensitive components from light, which supports the stability and longer shelf life of contents that are sensitive to UV radiation.
This glass bottle is supplied in combination with a functional dropper that ensures comfortable and precise dosing of liquid products. Combinations of packaging and closures created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we always recommend carrying out your own compatibility test – checking the sealing, the behaviour of the dropper during long-term use and the reaction of the packaging in contact with the specific formulation.

Dark matte glass naturally limits the penetration of light to the contents, which is beneficial for oil blends, serums and other products that may be sensitive to UV radiation. However, for formulations with special active substances we recommend also taking into account the recommendations of the raw material supplier and, if necessary, combining the packaging with storage in a dark, cooler place.
The glass packaging can be reused provided that strict hygiene rules are followed. Before each new filling, the bottle and the dropper must be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected to minimise the risk of microbial contamination or undesirable reactions between residues of the original product and the new formulation. For disinfection, we recommend using, for example, isopropyl alcohol or ethanol in a quality suitable for this purpose, available in the Handymade range: IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol and Ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based. After disinfection, let the packaging dry thoroughly and only then refill it.
First we recommend mechanically removing residues of the original product – rinsing the bottle with a suitable solvent (for example vegetable oil for oil formulations) and then using warm water with a mild cleaning agent. After thoroughly rinsing with clean water, it is advisable to disinfect the packaging using products such as IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based. The dropper must be disassembled into individual parts to the extent that the design allows, rinsed and left to dry completely. Before the next filling, make sure that no residues of cleaning or disinfecting agents remain inside.
If you decide not to use the packaging further, we recommend recycling it in accordance with local waste sorting rules and the information given in the product parameters. The glass part of the bottle can usually be placed in the container intended for glass, while the dropper may consist of a combination of materials (plastic, rubber, metal part) that should be separated as far as possible. Before handing it over for collection, remove product residues and any labels so that the packaging is as clean as possible. We recommend adapting the exact method of sorting to the local waste collection system in your municipality and to the information in the parameter table for the product.
