Yes, the packaging can be reused if hygiene principles are observed. Before each new filling, the bottle and the closure must be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected, ideally using a suitable alcohol, for example isopropyl alcohol or denatured plant ethanol. In this way you reduce the risk of microbial contamination and extend the service life of your products.

First we recommend mechanically cleaning the packaging from residues of the original product with warm water and a suitable mild detergent. Then allow the bottle to be thoroughly rinsed with clean water and to dry. Before filling, it is advisable to disinfect the inner surface and the closure with alcohol, for example using products based on isopropyl alcohol or denatured ethanol, and let it evaporate. This will support the hygienic safety of the final product.

For thicker or oil-based formulations we recommend using a funnel, dosing syringe or filling pump to avoid contamination of the neck and thread. It is important not to overfill the bottle and to leave sufficient headspace below the closure to ensure reliable closing and sealing. After filling, check the cleanliness of the thread and wipe off any product residues, which will reduce the risk of leakage and extend the life of the closure.

If you decide not to reuse the packaging, we recommend recycling it according to the material type specified in the product parameters. After emptying and basic rinsing, the glass bottle should be placed in the container designated for glass in accordance with local waste sorting rules. The aluminium cap should be sorted with metals if your collection system allows it. Before handing over for recycling, remove product residues and any removable parts so that the materials can be recovered as effectively as possible.
