The blue-glass bottle with a white-and-gold spray pump is an elegant and functional packaging designed for precise dosing of carefully formulated liquids. The spray pump provides a fine, even mist, making the packaging suitable for products where accurate application to the skin, hair or a surface is important. The dark blue glass also helps protect the contents against unwanted light, which is especially advantageous for light-sensitive formulations.

This glass bottle with a spray pump forms a functional combination of packaging and dosing mechanism, designed to ensure comfortable and controlled application of the product. Combinations of packaging and closures created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we always recommend performing your own compatibility test (sealing, dosing and behaviour of the packaging in contact with the specific formulation), so that you can be sure of optimal performance with your particular composition.

When choosing a suitable bottle or other packaging, we recommend using the advanced filter in the packaging material categories. In this way, you can quickly select the packaging that will meet the technical and design requirements of your product.
The bottle and the spray pump can be reused with appropriate handling, but we always recommend strict adherence to hygiene principles. Before each new filling, the packaging must be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected to minimise the risk of microbial contamination or residues of the previous product. For disinfection, you can use, for example, the products IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based, available on the website in the disinfectant section: IPA 99 isopropyl alkohol 1 l and Etanol 96 denaturovaný rastlinný 1 l. After disinfection, allow the packaging and the spray mechanism to dry completely before refilling.
Before reuse, we recommend unscrewing the bottle, disassembling the spray mechanism into accessible parts and removing all residues of the original contents. The glass container can be rinsed with warm water and a suitable cleaning agent, then thoroughly rinsed and left to dry. The spray mechanism should be cleaned more gently so that the spring and internal components are not damaged – thorough rinsing and subsequent disinfection with alcohol is recommended, for example using the products available on the website (IPA 99 isopropyl alkohol 1 l or Etanol 96 denaturovaný rastlinný 1 l). After cleaning and disinfection, allow all parts to dry completely and only then refill the bottle.
The spray pump is ideal for low- to medium-viscosity aqueous or hydroalcoholic solutions where the creation of a fine mist is desired. With thicker emulsions, highly viscous oils or preparations with a significant content of solid particles, there may be a reduction in spray quality or clogging of the nozzle. Therefore we always recommend performing a test with the real formulation before final filling, checking the consistency, uniformity of dosing and any sedimentation of particles that could burden the mechanism.
If you decide not to reuse the packaging, we recommend its proper recycling in accordance with local waste sorting rules and the information given in the product parameters for this packaging. As a rule, the glass bottle can, after being thoroughly emptied and rinsed, be placed in the appropriate glass container according to the colour coding used in your town or village. The spray mechanism, which contains plastic and metal parts, usually needs to be sorted according to local recommendations – most often into the appropriate plastic waste, or into mixed waste if your sorting system does not allow separate collection of this type of component. We recommend always checking the current recycling recommendations and the symbols given in the parameter table for the product on the website.
Before introducing the packaging into regular production, we recommend carrying out an internal compatibility test with your specific formulation. In particular, check the seal between the bottle neck and the spray pump, the stability of the mechanism during repeated use, the quality of spraying (fineness of the mist, spray angle, volume of a single dose) and the behaviour of the formulation during longer storage in this packaging (changes in colour, odour, possible settling of particles). The test should also include a trial under normal transport and use conditions, so that you can be sure that the packaging will reliably protect your product throughout its entire life cycle.
