FAQ – Most frequently asked questions

How do I prepare the glass bottle with dispenser for the first filling?

Before first use we recommend thoroughly cleaning and drying the bottle and the dispenser. Depending on the type of cosmetic product, it is suitable to first wash the packaging with an appropriate cleaning agent, rinse it with water and then disinfect it with an alcohol-based product, for example isopropyl alcohol or ethanol. After the alcohol has completely evaporated, the packaging can be safely filled. This procedure reduces the risk of microbial contamination of the cosmetics during storage.

Can this glass bottle be used repeatedly?

The packaging can be reused provided hygiene principles are followed. Before each new filling it is necessary to thoroughly clean the bottle and the dispenser, check that they are undamaged and then disinfect them with a suitable alcohol-based product. For disinfection we recommend, for example, the products IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based. Disinfection helps minimize the risk of contamination of the new filling and extend its stability.

How do I correctly fill the bottle with a thicker cream or gel so that the dispenser works reliably?

For thicker creams and gels we recommend using a filling syringe, small funnels or a filling spatula in order to minimise the formation of air bubbles in the packaging. Do not fill the bottle completely to the brim – leave a small air gap that allows the dispenser to create vacuum and ensure smooth dosing. After filling and fitting the dispenser, it is advisable to press the pump several times so that the system “primes” and starts dispensing the required amount of product regularly.

How should I correctly recycle the glass bottle with dispenser if I do not want to use it further?

If you decide not to reuse the packaging, we recommend recycling it according to the material types listed in the product parameters. The glass part of the bottle can usually be thrown into the container intended for glass after removing product residues. The plastic dispenser and any other plastic components should be sorted into the appropriate container for plastics, unless local sorting rules specify otherwise. Before recycling it is practical to at least roughly rinse the packaging to remove cosmetic residues and facilitate further processing of the material.
