The glass bottle represents a professional packaging solution suitable for liquid and slightly viscous formulations where product protection and a representative appearance are important. Green glass helps protect more sensitive components from the effects of light, which supports the stability of fragrances, plant extracts and active ingredients. Thanks to the precise finish of the neck and the high-quality material, this pharmaceutical bottle is ideal for cosmetic products, laboratory preparations and artisan blends filled in smaller batches.
Glass bottles are compatible with various types of closures and dispensing systems (for example screw caps, droppers, sprayers or practical applicators) depending on the selected parameters. Combinations of packaging and closures that are created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we always recommend performing your own compatibility test (sealing, dosing and behaviour of the packaging in contact with the specific formulation).
All technical parameters of the packaging are listed in the attached Packaging Quality Certificate and in the product parameters.
The packaging can be reused if basic hygiene principles are observed. Before each new filling, the bottle must be thoroughly cleaned and then disinfected with a suitable alcohol, for example IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based. Only after cleaning and disinfection is the packaging ready for safe reuse with a new formulation.
Green glass naturally limits light penetration, which can contribute to better stability of some light-sensitive components such as plant oils and aromatic compositions. For highly sensitive formulations, we always recommend carrying out your own stability tests and monitoring the behaviour of the specific product over time.
Before filling, we recommend mechanically cleaning the packaging (rinsing, and if necessary a mild cleaning agent suitable for glass), thoroughly rinsing with potable water and allowing it to dry. It is then advisable to disinfect the bottle with alcohol, for example with the products IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based, and allow it to air out. Packaging prepared in this way is suitable for filling with your formula.
If you decide not to reuse the packaging, we recommend placing it in sorted collection according to the material specified in the product parameters. The glass bottle is usually sorted into the container designated for glass, while the closure or dispenser (if made from another material) should be separated and disposed of according to its material composition. Before recycling, it is advisable to empty the packaging and remove any coarse product residues to facilitate its further processing in the recycling system.
