The glass bottle represents a reliable, durable and aesthetic packaging suitable for both professional and artisan use in the fields of cosmetics, aromatherapy or pharmaceutical preparations. Thanks to the glass used, the packaging is stable, chemically resistant and ideal for filling liquid and less viscous products such as serums, essences, tinctures or drops. The darker tinted glass also helps to protect more sensitive contents from unwanted light, which contributes to maintaining the quality and stability of formulations during storage.
Glass bottles are compatible with various types of closures and dosing systems (for example screw caps, droppers, sprayers or practical applicators) according to the parameters selected for the product. Combinations of packaging and closures that are created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we recommend always carrying out your own compatibility test (sealing, dosing and behaviour of the packaging in contact with the specific formulation).
All technical parameters of the packaging are listed in the attached Packaging Quality Certificate and in the product parameters.
Yes, the packaging can be used repeatedly if hygiene principles are observed. Before each new filling, it is necessary to clean the bottle thoroughly, check its integrity and then disinfect it with a suitable preparation, for example with isopropyl alcohol IPA 99 % or plant-based ethanol Ethanol 96 % denatured. This minimises the risk of microbial contamination and the impact on the stability of the new formulation.
The bottle should first be mechanically rinsed with the residual medium (e.g. oil or water, depending on the nature of the original contents), then washed with warm water and a mild cleaning agent and rinsed well. After drying, we recommend disinfecting the inner surface, for example with the products IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based. Before new filling, make sure that no residues of cleaning agents or disinfectants remain in the packaging which could affect the properties of the product.
If you decide not to reuse the packaging, it is recommended to recycle it according to the material specified in the product parameter table on the Handymade.sk website. Glass bottles are usually thrown into the container designated for glass after emptying and basic rinsing. Closures or dispensers made of other materials (plastic, metal) should be sorted separately according to local recycling rules. By following these principles, you support the sustainable management of packaging material.
The glass bottle is particularly suitable for liquid preparations that are dosed in small quantities – for example facial and body oils, serums, essences, drop solutions, tinctures for external use, aromatherapeutic oils or hair treatments. Thanks to the chemical stability of glass, it can also be used for products containing essential oils or active ingredients that could be problematic in contact with less stable plastics. For specific or very aggressive formulations, we recommend carrying out your own compatibility test.
To select suitable packaging, we recommend using the extended filter, which you can find at the top of the page after clicking on the relevant packaging category. In the extended filter, you can conveniently choose parameters such as neck type, size, colour or packaging material. Thanks to this, you will quickly find bottles, vials, jars or pots that best meet the requirements of your formulation, brand and method of dosing.
When choosing a closure, it is important to take into account the way the product is used and the consistency of the formulation. For liquid preparations that are dosed in drops, droppers or pipette closures are suitable, for toners and aqueous solutions sprayers are practical, and for oils or serums a screw cap or a precise applicator may be ideal. We recommend choosing from compatible closures directly at the product on Handymade, with all suggested combinations being tested. Nevertheless, it is advisable to perform your own compatibility test with the specific formulation, especially in the case of long-term storage of the product.
