The glass bottle with spray pump is a professional packaging material that is ideal for gentle and even dosing of liquid formulations. The combination of high‑quality glass and a precisely engineered spray pump allows comfortable application of products that require hygienic, controlled and economical spraying without unnecessary waste. The darker glass also helps to limit light penetration to the more sensitive contents, which is advantageous for formulations prone to degradation due to external conditions.
This type of packaging is suitable for cosmetic and artisan formulations based on water, hydrolats or light oil blends, where precise application to the skin, hair or a surface is important. The elegant colour design and visually attractive spray pump give the product a premium look, making the packaging suitable also for smaller brands, handmade creators and manufacturers of niche products who want to differentiate their portfolio.
This bottle is designed as an independent glass pack compatible with a spray pump. Within the Handymade range, other types of closures and dosing components are also available, differing in the method of application and in design. Depending on the selected parameters, they are compatible with various dosing types, for example screw caps, droppers, spray pumps or practical applicators.
The combinations of packs and closures that are created directly at Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we always recommend carrying out your own compatibility test (sealing, dosing and behaviour of the packaging in contact with the specific formulation), so that you can be sure the packaging works reliably with your specific product.
All technical parameters of the packaging are specified in the attached Packaging Quality Certificate and in the product parameters.
When selecting the bottle, always take into account the raw materials used, the viscosity of the product and the desired method of application. A correctly selected pack and dispensing component contribute to formulation stability, safe use and a favourable user experience.
Glass packaging is generally a suitable choice for formulations containing essential oils because glass is chemically stable and, with a properly selected closure, helps to maintain product quality. However, it is recommended to test the specific formula in a small trial batch, to monitor any changes in scent, colour or consistency and to verify that the spray pump dispenses reliably even after longer storage. At higher concentrations of essential oils, it is advisable to pay increased attention to suitable storage of the product away from direct sunlight.
The glass bottle can be reused if hygiene principles are observed, including for products other than those it originally contained. Before each new filling, the packaging must be thoroughly cleaned, residues of the previous formulation removed and then disinfected with a suitable agent, for example isopropyl alcohol or ethanol. In the Handymade assortment you will find for this purpose the products IPA 99% isopropyl alcohol and Ethanol 96% denatured plant‑based. After disinfection, allow the bottle and the spray pump to dry completely and only then refill them, in order to minimise the risk of microbial contamination.
The spray pump should be kept clean on an ongoing basis, especially with products containing botanical extracts, oils or more viscous components that may gradually clog the nozzle. After the container has been emptied, we recommend unscrewing the spray pump, rinsing the tube and nozzle with lukewarm water and pressing the mechanism several times so that water enters the entire dosing system. When switching to another type of product, it is advisable, after washing, also to carry out disinfection, let all parts dry thoroughly and only then use them again. If the product contains particles or a high proportion of undissolved substances, it is advisable to filter it before filling, in order to prevent mechanical clogging of the spray pump.
If you decide not to use the packaging further, we recommend recycling it in accordance with the material information specified in the product parameters. The glass container should, according to local rules, be placed in the appropriate glass recycling bin after you have removed product residues and separated the mechanical parts of the spray pump. The spray pump itself is made from a combination of several materials, so it is necessary to follow local recommendations for sorting such packaging; in most cases it belongs in residual waste or the appropriate plastic waste fraction according to the local sorting system. Before handing over for recycling, check that all parts are as empty as possible, in order to minimise the load on the recycling process from product residues.
To choose a suitable bottle, vial or jar you can use the advanced filter, which is located at the top of the page after clicking on the relevant packaging category. The advanced filter allows you to quickly narrow down the offer according to key parameters such as neck type and size, overall pack size, colour and material. Thanks to this, you can easily find packaging that will be compatible with the planned closures or dispensers and that will at the same time match your product in terms of design and functionality. In the details of individual items you will also find additional information that will help you check compatibility and choose the optimal solution for your formulation.
