The packaging can be reused provided that hygiene principles are observed. Before each filling, we recommend thoroughly cleaning the bottle, rinsing it and then disinfecting it with a suitable alcohol-based preparation, for example with isopropyl alcohol IPA 99 % or with ethanol 96 % denatured, plant-based. After disinfection, allow the container and the cap to dry completely at room temperature and only then refill it. When changing the product type (for example from an oil-based to a water-based formulation), it is advisable to consider using a new bottle in order to avoid affecting the fragrance or the stability of the formulation.

Glass packaging is generally very suitable for formulations with a higher proportion of essential oils and alcohol, since glass is a stable and chemically resistant material. When using highly concentrated blends, however, we recommend performing your own compatibility test – filling a smaller amount of product, closing the bottle properly and after a certain time checking the sealing of the cap and any changes in fragrance or color. In this way, you will verify the suitability of the specific combination of your formula and the selected packaging.

If you decide not to use the packaging further, we recommend recycling it in accordance with local waste-sorting rules. The glass body of the bottle, after being emptied and roughly rinsed, should normally be placed in the glass container, while plastic or composite caps are sorted according to the material specified in the product parameters. Before handing it over for recycling, remove any product residues and, if the surface allows, any labels. By recycling, you help reduce the amount of waste and support the reuse of raw materials.

The bottle is a universal container, but when alternating different product types, thorough hygiene and consideration of the risk of transferring fragrance or residues of the original formulation are important. After each use, we recommend mechanical cleaning with a suitable cleaning agent, thorough rinsing and final disinfection with alcohol (e.g. IPA 99 % or ethanol 96 %). For highly aromatic or strongly pigmented products, it may be more practical to reserve the bottle for the same type of contents, in order to maintain the purity of subsequent formulations.
