The glass bottle is a professional packaging solution suitable for precise dosing and safe storage of various liquid formulations as well as concentrated blends. Thanks to the durable glass, it is ideal for filling cosmetic products, laboratory solutions, serums or oils, where the stability of the contents and easy handling are important. The dark glass also helps to reduce light penetration, thereby contributing to better protection of sensitive active ingredients inside the packaging.
This compact bottle is perfectly suited for small production batches, test samples and finished products intended for end customers. In combination with a suitable closure or dispenser, it enables hygienic and controlled dosing, which is crucial for serums, essential oils and other concentrated preparations.
Glass bottles are compatible with various types of closures and dosing systems (for example screw caps, droppers, spray pumps or practical applicators), depending on the parameters selected at purchase. Combinations of packaging and closures that are created directly on Handymade are tested and functional to ensure reliable handling and sealing.
However, for all combinations we recommend always carrying out your own compatibility test – checking the sealing, dosing and behaviour of the packaging in contact with the specific formulation (especially for products containing alcohol, acids, essential oils or other more reactive substances).
All technical parameters of the packaging are listed in the enclosed Packaging Quality Certificate and in the product specifications.
The packaging can be reused multiple times if hygienic principles are followed, but it is recommended to always fill it with the same or a similar type of product. Before each refilling, the bottle must be thoroughly cleaned, rinsed and subsequently disinfected with a suitable alcohol solution, for example IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based. Only after it has completely dried is the bottle ready for refilling.
The simplest way is to use the advanced filter in the relevant packaging category. After clicking on the category of bottles, jars or other packaging, you will find a clear filter at the top of the page where you can select according to neck type, size, colour and material. This allows you to quickly find packaging that matches your formulation and the desired dosing.
Glass packaging is generally a suitable choice for products containing essential oils, since glass is significantly more resistant to them than most plastics. For formulations with a high proportion of essential oils, we recommend performing a trial filling and checking compatibility with the specific type of closure or dropper, particularly in terms of sealing and long-term stability.
First remove any residue of the original product using warm water and a suitable cleaning agent that is compatible with your formulation. Then rinse the bottle thoroughly with clean water, allow it to drain and dry. Before refilling, it is essential to disinfect the packaging with alcohol, for example with the products IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based, in order to minimise microbiological risk.
If you decide not to reuse the packaging, it is advisable to place it in separated collection according to the material specified in the product specifications. The glass bottle can generally be disposed of in a container designated for glass (after emptying and basic cleaning of any product residues). The closure and any plastic or rubber parts should be sorted separately according to local waste collection rules. In this way, you support material recycling and reduce the amount of municipal waste.
For precise dosing of small volumes such as serums, concentrated active solutions or essential oils, droppers and dropper caps are most commonly used. When choosing, we recommend taking into account the density and viscosity of the product – thinner solutions usually work better with a classic dropper, while more viscous oil blends may require a different type of applicator. Before launching the product on the market, it is advisable to perform a dosing test under real usage conditions.
