The glass jar is a universal and elegant packaging suitable for a wide range of cosmetic preparations and other products where hygienic cleanliness, stability and a professional appearance are important. Clear glass allows for transparent inspection of the contents and supports the visual presentation of the colour and structure of the finished product. Thanks to high-quality workmanship, this jar is suitable for filling products with different viscosities – from thicker creams to lighter emulsions or loose blends.
The white lid aesthetically complements the clean design of the packaging and helps create a uniform product line, whether it is used for homemade formulations or professional products from smaller brands. The glass container is stable in regular use and tolerates contact with common cosmetic raw materials well, which makes it a reliable packaging for artisan and small-scale cosmetics.
Combinations of packaging and closures that are created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we always recommend carrying out your own compatibility test – check the sealing, the closing mechanism and the behaviour of the packaging in contact with the specific formulation (especially with a higher content of oils, acids or preservatives). This will ensure that the final product will be safe, stable and comfortable to use even during long-term storage.
All technical parameters of the packaging are specified in the attached Packaging Quality Certificate and in the product parameters.
Before the first filling, we recommend washing the jar thoroughly, rinsing it and checking that no residues of cleaning agents or dust remain. It is then advisable to disinfect the packaging – for example using alcohol-based products such as isopropyl alcohol or ethanol, in order to minimise the risk of microbial contamination when it comes into contact with the cosmetic product.
The glass jar can be safely reused provided that hygienic principles are followed. After the contents have been used up, we recommend washing the packaging thoroughly, removing residues of the previous formulation, and then always cleaning and disinfecting it before each new filling. For disinfection you can use, for example, isopropyl alcohol IPA 99 % or plant-derived ethanol Ethanol 96 % denatured. In this way you will reduce the risk of compromising the new batch and extend the service life of the packaging itself.
Always store the filled glass jar well closed, ideally in a dry, shaded place at a stable room temperature. Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight and significant temperature fluctuations, which could affect the stability of the cosmetic product. During use, it is advisable not to touch the contents with wet or dirty hands in order to minimise the transfer of impurities and microorganisms into the product.
If you decide not to use the jar any longer, it is advisable, from the point of view of sustainability principles, to include it in the recycling stream. First remove as much of the product residues from the inside of the container as possible. Then dispose of the glass part of the packaging in a container designated for glass in accordance with local waste sorting rules. The plastic or composite lid must be placed in the appropriate fraction according to the material indicated in the product parameters – usually in the container for plastics or in mixed waste if it is not recyclable. By following these principles, you will contribute to the efficient recycling of packaging materials.
To select a suitable bottle, jar or vial, you can use the advanced filter, which you will find at the top of the page after clicking on the relevant packaging category. In the advanced filter you can clearly select packaging according to several parameters – for example, according to the neck type, required size, colour or material. This allows you to quickly filter out only those packaging options that correspond to your formulation and the intended method of dispensing.
