Soap masses are a great material for making wonderful gifts. If you're a chocolate lover, you shouldn't miss this tutorial for making soap chocolate pralines with strawberry "filling". The production is not complicated, it is just a matter of layering soap combined with chocolate and strawberry scented fragrance oils.
The basis for the production of soap chocolates is soap mass. In particular, ZENIOSOAPBASE Pro-W soap mass was chosen, which is white and sets quickly, so you don't have to wait long for the individual layers to harden. The weights shown are sufficient to make 20 bars of soap, i.e. to fill the entire mould.
Working with soap masses is easy and fun, but we still bring you some hints and tips that can make soap making easier.To melt your soap mass , choose containers that can handle microwave heating, ideally durable glass. Plastic can bind fragrances from fragrance oils. You can also melt the soap mass in a water bath, it takes longer but there is less risk of the soap caking and boiling.If your soap has set before you've poured it, you can melt it again in the microwave or water bath. Don't wash the containers from the first brown layer right away, you can weigh the soap mass for the second brown layer and save yourself washing another container.Try to spray the layers as quickly as possible after pouring the mass, so that no bubbles or foam are left on them.If you want to save on dyes and have a transparent mass on hand, prepare a mixture of 70% white mass and 30% transparent mass. This way you will need a slightly smaller amount of dye, but to simplify the process we have only used the white stuff in this case. The amounts of soap mass, colorants and fragrance needed are in grams and not percentages, just so that you maintain the correct proportion of ingredients to create the desired look of the soap. The weights are based on the mould we have used, if you change the mould you will need different amounts of soap mass, but you can keep the ratios as long as you do not change the thickness of the layers.

ZENIOSOPABASE Pro-W is a great mass suitable even for beginners, thanks to which you can conjure up soaps easily thanks to its faster setting time. Plus, it's non-spreading, so you don't have to worry about dewdrops appearing on your soap over time.Of course, you can substitute this mass with any other white soap mass, or combine it with transparent mass, as mentioned in the tips and tricks for reducing the amount of dye needed.However, the chosen ZENICOLOR dye is intended for ZENIOSOPABASE soap masses and you may get a slightly different colour shade in other masses.
The ZENICOLOR SOLO dye, which is designed to be combined with our selected soap mass, gives a beautiful chocolate colour to the soap chocolates. If you want a lighter shade of soap, reduce the dye dosage. It is not necessary to dose the dye to the exact grams, you can add the dye in small doses until the desired colour is achieved. It is also possible to reach for mica powders in brown, but with larger quantities usedmica powder, the soap will shimmer slightly (mica powders are glossy and shimmer slightly).
Fragrance oils have been chosen to achieve the chocolate and strawberry scents, as essential oils cannot be obtained with these scents. This is also why fragrance oils are a great choice if you want a product with the scent of a particular food or fruit.If strawberries don't smell good to you, try peppermint essential oil as a substitute for strawberry scent and make chocolate-mint soaps. In this case, replace the pink mica powder with a small amount of green mica powder. Or try a different combination of scents, for example with orange essential oil.
The pink mica powder shade Frosty rose petal was chosen to add a light pink colour to the strawberry middle layer of the soap. However, you can also reach for other pink and red shades of mica powders or ZENICOLOR dyes. In any case, however, a very small amount is enough to achieve a light pink shade.As we mentioned above, you can substitute strawberry fragrance oil with another fragrance, and at the same time you canyou can also adjust the colour of the middle layer to match the fragrance or essential oil you use.
IPA is a bubble remover that helps remove bubbles and foam on soap that has not yet set, creating a smooth, uniform appearance and surface on the soap once it has set.At the same time, IPA helps to bind the layers of soap together, so always spray it on the original hardened layer before pouring the next one.
Silicone moulds are best suited for making soaps from soap masses as they are easy to handle, durable they are also resistant to higher temperatures, come in many designs and are very easy to remove from the moulds to make finished soaps. If you want a different shape of soap, choose from a wide range of silicone moulds. However, be sure to change the amount of soap mass needed depending on the size of the cavity in the mould.
As mentioned, you can experiment with homemade recipes to achieve the desired properties. However, many factors such as humidity, temperature, quality of ingredients and storage can affect the final result. Before using any raw material to make a cosmetic product, familiarize yourself with its properties, recommended dosage, storage conditions or safe handling. Any raw material may have the potential to cause an allergic reaction in sensitive individuals, so before using a product, we recommend that you find out if you suffer from an allergy to any of the raw materials or the overall product, e.g. by a skin test. If you have very sensitive or very acne-prone skin, or other skin and health problems, we recommend that you consult a medical professionalbefore applying a new product to your skin, whether it is a homemade cosmetic product, a pure raw material or a commercially available product.
A sweet-smelling bar of soap that looks like chocolate will delight in the form of a little attention. And the best part is that you can choose the scent and colour yourself.
